Theft From an Unlocked Vehicle
On April 28 at 8:40 a.m., a theft from a vehicle was reported in the 200 block of East Greystone. The victim parked her vehicle in her driveway at approximately 10:00 a.m. She left her vehicle unlocked. When she returned to her vehicle at 10:30 p.m., she found her right passenger door ajar, and her jacket and a notebook were missing from the vehicle. The investigation is continuing.
Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance / Warrant – Suspect Arrested
On April 28 at 1:13 p.m., an officer responded to a business in the 400 block of West Chestnut regarding a disturbing subject who would not leave. The subject was located and was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He also had an outstanding warrant. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance – Suspect Arrested
On April 28 at 1:49 p.m., an officer on patrol observed a homeless person in the area of Lemon and Primrose. The subject was perspiring heavily, walking fast, and kept looking back at the officer. The officer contacted the subject and determined he was under the influence of a controlled substance. He was arrested.
Criminal Threats / Battery – Suspect Arrested
On April 29 at 3:53 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of West Duarte regarding the reporting party’s grandson, who was causing a disturbance. The officer determined the subject had made criminal threats and pushed his friend. The disturbing subject was arrested and taken into custody.
Commercial Burglary – Suspect Arrested
On April 29 at 8:45 p.m., a commercial burglary was reported at a business in the 1600 block of South Mountain. The female suspect entered the location pushing a stroller with an infant inside. She selected merchandise and placed it on top of the stroller. She put her sweater over the top of the stroller, concealing the merchandise. She then walked out of the store without paying for the merchandise and was detained by store loss prevention. The suspect was arrested for burglary and taken into custody.
Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
April 29 at 10:38 p.m., a disturbing subject was reported at a business in the 1100 block of East Huntington. An officer arrived and learned an argument had taken place between several subjects. Most of the subjects left before the officer arrived, but one of them was located in the parking lot. Upon contacting the subject, the officer determined he was too intoxicated to care for himself. He arrested the subject for public intoxication. The subject was later released on a citation after sobering.
Commercial Burglary – Suspect Arrested
April 30 at 6:23 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a business in the 500 block of West Huntington on the report of a shoplifter in custody. The female suspect entered the store and selected merchandise, which she placed in her cart. She then went into the fitting rooms. While in the fitting rooms, she concealed some of the merchandise in her purse. She was detained by loss prevention after exiting the store without paying for
the merchandise in her purse. The suspect was arrested for burglary and taken into custody.
Public Intoxication / Warrant – Suspect Arrested
May 1 at 1:49 a.m., an officer was patrolling the area of Myrtle and Lemon when he observed a group of suspicious subjects loitering. The officer contacted the subjects and determined one of them was extremely intoxicated. He was uncooperative and verbally abusive toward officers. He was arrested for public intoxication and taken into custody.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
May 1 at 4:47 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 1400 block of South Magnolia on a domestic violence investigation. The officer’s investigation revealed the female subject involved in the incident was the aggressor. She attempted to strangle her live-in boyfriend, and the victim sustained fingernail scratches on his neck. He declined medical treatment. The officer arrested the female suspect for domestic
violence.

Detective Bureau Case Follow-up

Credit Card Fraud Case Solved – Suspect Arrested
On June 12, 2013, a male subject entered a business in the 1600 block of South Mountain and attempted to use three forged credit cards with the stolen account information of three victims embedded in the cards. Loss prevention had been given a tip that the suspect would be coming in to commit the crimes and a loss prevention officer was able to observe and photograph the suspect in the act of committing the crime. He was also able to photograph the suspect’s vehicle and license plate. Patrol personnel took the report of the incident and began an initial investigation.
Initially, the victim’s could not be identified; however, with determination, a detective eventually located all of the victims and obtained what was needed to proceed against the suspect.  Working with another law enforcement agency, the suspect was identified and apprehended. The handling detective took the case to the District Attorney’s office for review, and the charges of burglary and attempted theft by means of fraudulent use of credit cards was obtained. This is a good example of collaborative effort and
persistence by the investigators involved.

Highlighted Activity for the Weekend of April 24-27, 2014

Alcohol Offense - Subjects Cited

On April 24 at 3:07 p.m., an officer on patrol in the 300 block of Myrtle Avenue was monitoring activity taking place in the park. He saw two male adult subjects drinking alcohol at one of the benches. Both subjects were cited for drinking alcohol in the park.
Theft From an Unlocked Vehicle
On April 25 at 11:50 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 100 block of East Huntington regarding a theft from a vehicle. At 7:55 a.m., the victim parked his vehicle in a business parking lot located on the north side of the street. He did not lock his vehicle or activate his alarm. He returned to his vehicle at 11:35 a.m. and found his center console open and his GPS was missing. The investigation is continuing.
Vehicle Burglary
On April 26 at 11:45 a.m., a vehicle burglary was reported in the 100 block of Poppy Avenue. The victim’s son parked his vehicle in the driveway the day before at 10:00 p.m. The next day the victim entered his car to move it and noticed that items in his vehicle had been moved around and miscellaneous change was missing from the center console. He did not remember if the car was locked when he entered, but all the
doors were closed. The investigation is continuing.
Injury Traffic Collision – Vehicle vs. Pedestrian
On April 26 at 5:28 p.m., an injury traffic collision was reported in the 300 block of North Canyon. An 18-year-old male ran across the street from between cars and was struck by a motorist. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The pedestrian was determined to be at fault.
Theft From a Vehicle
On April 26 at 6:17 p.m., a theft from a vehicle was reported in the 100 block of Poppy Avenue. The victim parked his vehicle on the street in front of his house the night before. He returned to his vehicle the next morning at 8:30 a.m. to find the interior compartments had been ransacked. An iPhone, a GPS unit, and a canvas bag had been taken from inside the vehicle. He believes he left his vehicle unlocked, since there
were no signs of forced entry. The investigation is continuing.
Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance – Suspect Arrested
On April 27 at 3:09 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of South Myrtle regarding a suspect on a bicycle looking into vehicle windows. Officers arrived and detained the suspect. The suspect was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested.

Identity Theft Prevention

Identity thieves take your personal information and use it without your knowledge; they purchase merchandise, run up dept, and even commit crimes. The following tips can help you lower your risk of
becoming a victim of identity theft and safeguard your Identity:
Protect Your Social Security Number – Do not carry your Social Security card in your wallet or purse. Do not give your social security number to anyone unless you are the one that contacted them, and they are entitled to it.
Don’t be the Victim of a Scam – Scam artists pretend to be banks, stores, or government agencies. They do this over the phone, in emails, and by mail. Don’t respond to a request to verify your account number or password. Legitimate companies will not request information in this manner.
Don’t Trash Your Personal Information – Shred papers with personal information on them before you throw them in the trash. Shred credit card offers and “convenience checks” that you don’t use.
Protect Your Mail – Lock your mailbox or rent a locked post office box. Deposit outgoing mail in blue post office boxes and retrieve your mail from your mailbox as soon as possible.
Be Careful Where You Click – Check out websites before shopping online and entering your credit card number or other personal information. Read the privacy policy and look for opportunities to opt out of information sharing. If there is no privacy policy, beware! Shop elsewhere. Enter personal information only on secure web pages with “https” in the address bar and a padlock symbol in the lower right corner (Internet
Explorer and Mozilla Firefox programs). This shows that your information will be encrypted or scrambled, protecting it from hackers.
Protect Your Computer From Viruses and Spies – Protect your personal information on your home computer. Use strong passwords with at least eight characters, including letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid writing down the password. Use a firewall and virus protection software that you update regularly. Steer clear of spyware; download free software only from sites you know and trust. Do not install software without knowing what it is. Set your Internet Explorer browser security to at least “medium.” Don’t click on links in pop-up windows or in spam email.
Control Your Personal Financial Information – Federal law requires your bank and other financial institutions to get your permission before sharing your personal financial information with outside companies. You also have the right to limit the sharing of your personal financial information with affiliates of your financial institutions. Always Check Your Bills and Bank Statements – Open your credit card bills and bank statement right away. Check carefully for any unauthorized charges or withdrawals and report them immediately to the fraud department of the bank or credit card company. Call the company if bills don’t arrive on time or if there is unauthorized account activity.
Ask Questions – Whenever you are asked for personal information that seems inappropriate for the transaction. Ask how the information will be used and if it will be shared. Ask how it will be protected. Explain that you’re concerned about identity theft. If you’re not satisfied with the answers, consider going somewhere else.
Check Your Credit Reports - for Free – One of the best ways to protect yourself from identity theft is to monitor your credit history. You can get one free credit report every year from each of the three national credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. You can request all three reports at once (so you can compare them). Or, be your own credit-monitoring service and spread out your request, ordering from a different bureau every four months (so you can keep track of any changes or see new information on
your credit history).

Vehicle Burglary 
April 21 at 3:29 p.m., the victim of a vehicle burglary came to the police lobby to report her vehicle had been broken into while parked in the 400 block of East Colorado. She noticed that the rubber seal around the driver’s door had been pushed in and the vehicle was ransacked. It appears nothing was taken. The investigation is continuing.
Theft – Catalytic Converter
On April 21 at 4:52 p.m., a theft was reported in the 700 block of Montana. The victim came into the police lobby to report that someone had stolen the catalytic converter off his vehicle. The victim went out to start his vehicle and heard a loud noise. He drove his vehicle to a mechanic, who told him that the catalytic converter was missing off his vehicle. The investigation is continuing.
Theft from a Vehicle
On April 21 at 8:15 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Montana on the report of a theft from a vehicle. The vehicle was left unlocked and the victim's black iPhone was stolen. The investigation is continuing.
Petty Theft – Two Bicycles
On April 9:23 p.m., a theft of two bicycles was reported in the 100 block of Montana.  The bicycles were stolen from a rear carport. The theft occurred sometime between 4:00 p.m. on April 20 and 7:00 a.m. on April 21. The investigation is continuing.
Fraud / Identity Theft – Two Suspects Arrested
On April 21 at 11:53 p.m., an officer responded to a hotel in the 700 block of West Huntington regarding two hotel guests that checked into a room with stolen credit card information. Upon arrival, officers located the suspects inside a hotel room. They conducted an investigation and located stolen credit cards, stolen mail from several locations, ledgers containing personal information, and credit applications. The two
suspects were arrested and taken into custody.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
On April 22 at 12:27 a.m., an officer conducted a domestic violence investigation involving a female that punched her defenseless fiancé several times in the face. The male subject is recovering from an injury he received in a motorcycle accident. The female suspect left the location. The officer contacted the female suspect on the phone and convinced her to turn herself in to police. She admitted to the crime and was taken
into custody.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Suspect Arrested
April 22 at 1:00 a.m., an officer was sent to a hotel in the 700 block of West Huntington regarding a female associate of the fraud suspects that were arrested in the above fraud incident. The female was contacted, but was not linked to fraud case. The officer found the female to be in possession of a straw used to inhale methamphetamine. She was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Battery / Warrant – Suspect Arrested
April 22 at 8:00 a.m., a disturbance between a mother and daughter was reported in the 700 block of South Monterey. The mother had claimed the daughter hit her in the leg with a fist. Officers arrived, but the mother had left the location. The daughter was found to have a warrant and was arrested.
Vandalism
April 22 at 8:31 a.m., a caller reported an incident of vandalism in the 1300 block of South Myrtle. The caller reported blue graffiti on the wall facing Montana. The investigation is continuing.
Commercial Burglary – Suspect Arrested
April 22 at 1:23 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a business in the 500 block of West Huntington regarding a shoplifter being detained. Through investigation, the officer determined the female suspect had taken a large empty purse into the store, concealed merchandise in the purse and exited the store. She was arrested for burglary and taken into custody.
Driving Under the Influence Warrant – Suspect Arrested
On April 22 at 8:30 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 200 block of South Madison on a disturbance between a male and female subject. When the officer arrived, he conducted a computer check, which revealed the male subject had an outstanding DUI warrant for his arrest. The warrant was issued by the Pasadena Police Department. The subject was arrested for the warrant. Pasadena was notified and
officers responded and took custody of the subject.

Possession of a Controlled Substance / Possession of a Drug Paraphernalia /
Petty Theft – Suspect Arrested
On April 17 at 8:41 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 500 block of West Huntington regarding a petty theft. The suspect was seen selecting merchandise and walking towards the exit doors. He placed the items down, exited the store, and returned a few minutes later. He picked up the items, selected additional items, and walked into the dressing room, where he concealed some items on his person and then
exited the store without paying. He walked to another business and was detained by officers. Officers recovered store merchandise from inside the bathroom.
During a search of the suspect, officers located heroin and syringes. The suspect was arrested.

On April 17 at 10:37 p.m., an officer stopped a subject on a bicycle in the area of Myrtle and Huntington for traveling on the sidewalk with no lighting device. During the investigation, the officer determined the subject was under the influence of a controlled substance. He arrested the subject.

On April 18 at 3:14 a.m., an officer noticed a subject near the front doors of a closed business in the 400 block of West Huntington. The officer approached to investigate, and during the investigation, the subject was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested.
Attempt Grand Theft Auto
On April 18 at 4:10 a.m., a resident in the 700 block of Bonita heard someone trying to start his vehicle. He went outside and discovered a male subject inside his vehicle. He confronted the suspect, who reached into a bag he had his lap. The victim left to call police. When he returned, the suspect had fled. Officers responded and conducted an area search for the suspect, but he was not located. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic in his 20’s, 5'5” tall, with grey hair and a mustache. The investigation is
continuing.
Warrant – Suspect Arrest
On April 18 at 5:03 a.m., during the area check for the attempt grand theft auto suspect, officers contacted a subject in the 300 block of West Huntington. During the contact with the subject, they discovered he had a no-bail warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Theft from a Vehicle
On April 18 in the early evening, two residents reported to police that the catalytic converters were stolen off their vehicles. The thefts occurred in the 1600 block of South Myrtle and the 700 block of West Foothill. In both incidents, the residents started their vehicles and heard a loud noise coming from underneath, which led to the discovery of the missing catalytic converters. The investigations are continuing.
Resisting Arrest / Drunk in Public / Vandalism – Suspect Arrested
On April 19 at 12:08 a.m., officers responded to a park in the 300 block of South Myrtle regarding two subjects fighting. When the officers arrived, a witness pointed out one of the subjects involved in the fight. The other had left the location. As the officers approached the suspect, he ran from them toward a residence. As he ran, he smashed through a fence and broke some potted plants. The suspect was uncooperative and was determined to be intoxicated. He was arrested and taken into custody for the
above listed charges.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle
On April 19 at 4:18 p.m., an officer on patrol in the area of Fifth and Huntington observed a suspicious person walking away from a vehicle. He ran a computer check on the vehicle plate and it returned as a stolen plate. The VIN number on the vehicle returned as a stolen vehicle out of Arcadia. A replica pistol was found in the vehicle that was painted to resemble an actual pistol. The investigation is continuing.
Receiving Stolen Property – Suspect Arrested
On April 19 at 4:20 p.m., an officer on patrol contacted a suspect in the area of Primrose and Olive who was in possession of a stolen cell phone and fraudulent gift cards. The cell phone was stolen out of Pacoima. The gift cards were magnetically coded with different numbers than the numbers on the front of the cards. Additionally, the suspect had a small piece of paper with several credit card numbers and expiration dates. The suspect was arrested for receiving stolen property and the investigation is continuing.
Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Suspect Arrested
On April 20 at 8:37 p.m., a driver called dispatch to report he was following a possible drunk driver at Myrtle and Huntington. Officers located the vehicle and stopped it at Primrose and Walnut. Officers contacted the driver and he appeared intoxicated. After investigation, the driver was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested.
Vehicle Burglary
On April 21 at 5:00 a.m., a resident in the 200 block of West Walnut walked outside his home to his vehicle and discovered it had been burglarized during the night. He had parked it the night before at about 10:00 p.m. and locked the doors. The victim's wallet was taken out of the vehicle. The investigation is continuing.

Highlighted Activity for the Weekend of April 14-16, 2014

Warrant – Suspect Arrested On April 14 at 6:15 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of Royal Oaks regarding the boyfriend of the reporting party being intoxicated and refusing to leave. Officers arrived and contacted the subject. A computer check was run on the subject and it was discovered that he had an outstanding warrant. He was arrested for the warrant.
The subject complained of difficulty breathing. Monrovia paramedics responded and he was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Theft of a Bicycle On April 14, the theft of a bicycle was reported in the 300 block of West Colorado. The victim reported that someone took his black, BMX bicycle with aqua colored hubs from the rear yard. The suspect left behind a mountain bike. The investigation is continuing.
Theft from a Vehicle On April 15 at 7:48 a.m., a theft from a vehicle was reported in the 800 block of West Walnut. The victim parked her vehicle in her assigned parking spot the day before. She returned to her vehicle in the morning and discovered her cell phone, money, registration, and a pair of sunglasses were missing. She had left the vehicle unlocked. The investigation is continuing.
Sexual Battery On April 15 at 8:47 a.m., a female subject was walking to her vehicle, which was parked in the 1200 block of South Mayflower. As she neared her vehicle, she heard someone behind her and felt someone slap her buttocks. The suspect kept going southbound on the sidewalk, riding his skateboard. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 18 years old, light complexion, 5'7" tall, thin build, wearing a zipped up, light-colored, hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The victim came to the police lobby to report the incident. An area check was made by officers, but the suspect was not located. The investigation is continuing. Attempt Grand Theft Auto On April 15 at 10:29 a.m., a Monrovia High School security employee saw a male subject standing near a vehicle in the school parking lot. The employee knew the vehicle belonged to a student and thought the subject might be a parent. As he walked toward the vehicle, the subject ducked down behind the car and then ran west, jumping over a fence onto Madison.
Police were called as the student/owner of the vehicle was located. Apparently, the suspect had made entry and was trying to hotwire the vehicle. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, late 40's, heavyset, wearing a burgundy shirt and denim shorts. The investigation is continuing.
Delaying an Officer – Suspect Arrested On April 15 at 2:53 p.m., an officer on patrol in the 300 block of West Huntington saw a juvenile subject who matched the suspect description from a sexual battery that occurred earlier in the day. He contacted the subject and found him to be in possession of tobacco products. The subject provided unverifiable information to the officer. The juvenile was arrested and brought to the station. A detective was notified and spoke with the juvenile. The juvenile was later released to his parents with a citation for the tobacco offense and delaying an officer. The investigation is continuing.
Spousal Battery / Violation of Restraining Order / Warrants – Suspect Arrested On April 16 at 2:56 a.m., an officer responded to the 1300 block of South Primrose on the report of domestic violence. The female victim said her boyfriend punched and slapped her several times in the face and head. She did not have any visible injuries and declined medical treatment.
Investigation revealed the male subject was previously served with a domestic violence restraining order, and he also had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor / Furnishing a Minor with Alcohol and Marijuana / Warrant – Suspect Arrested On April 16 at 6:39 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a business in the 300 block of West Huntington regarding a juvenile problem. When the officer arrived, he observed a male and female consuming alcohol to the rear of the location. Upon contact, he learned the male subject was 20 years old and the female was 17 years old.
The male adult was found to be in possession of marijuana. The investigation revealed the male adult had furnished the female juvenile with alcohol and marijuana. He also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The subject was arrested and taken into custody for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and for the warrant. The female juvenile was taken to her residence, where she was released to the custody of her father.

Highlighted Activity for the Weekend of April 10-13, 2014

Disturbing Subjects / Drunk in Public – Suspect Arrested
On April 10 at 4:39 p.m., an officer responded to a park in the 300 block of South Myrtle
regarding disturbing subjects. The officer observed two subjects in a verbal argument.
One of the subjects removed his shirt and took a fighting stance with the second
subject. The officer confronted the subjects and after investigation, arrested one of
them for being drunk in public.
Vehicle Burglaries
On April 10 in the late evening, three vehicle burglaries were reported to police. The
burglaries occurred in business parking lots located in the 700 to 900 blocks of West
Huntington. In two of the burglaries, the third row seats had been taken from two
SUV’s. In the third incident, a vehicle window was shattered and an iPad that was
visible through the window was taken. The investigations are continuing.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Suspect Arrested
On April 11 at 2:36 a.m., an officer observed two subjects in a business parking lot near
Chestnut and Magnolia. One of the subjects appeared to be hiding something near a
bucket. The officer stopped and spoke with the subjects. When the officer searched
the area he had just seen the subject near, he located a used glass smoking pipe. The
suspect was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Grand Theft Auto – Suspect Arrested
On April 11 at 8:15 a.m., an officer on patrol located an unoccupied stolen vehicle in the
600 block of West Huntington. Officers watched the vehicle until a male subject
approached and entered the vehicle. The suspect was stopped and arrested. The
stolen vehicle was recovered and returned to the registered owner.
Theft From an Unlocked Vehicle
On April 11 at 11:23 p.m., a theft from a vehicle was reported in the 400 block of
Wildrose Avenue. The victim went to his vehicle in the evening and saw the passenger
door was not secure. He discovered several items missing from the interior of his
vehicle. The vehicle had been left unlocked. The investigation is continuing.
Petty Theft – Suspects Arrested
On April 13 at 2:31 p.m., an officer was on patrol in the 500 block of West Huntington
when he observed three suspicious subjects in a business parking lot. Two of the
suspects had entered the business, a male and a female, and the third male suspect
appeared to be acting as a lookout in front of the store. Officers watched the store and
waited to see if they were going to commit a theft.
Several minutes later, the suspects exited the store carrying a large shopping bag full of
store merchandise. When they saw officers approaching, the female abruptly removed
a bottle of cologne from the bag and tried to conceal it. After investigation, the male
suspect was arrested and charged with petty theft and stolen credit card information.
The female was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.
Driving Under the Influence / Hit and Run Traffic Accident – Suspect Arrested
On April 13 at 9:58 p.m., a caller phoned police to report a vehicle had just struck a
parked car at Olive and Alta Vista and then drove away. When police arrived, they
conducted an area search and located the vehicle that had fled the scene. The driver of
the vehicle was determined to be under the influence of alcohol, was unlicensed, and
uninsured. The driver was arrested and taken into custody.

Commercial Burglary – Suspect Arrested
On April 3 at 6:32 p.m., an adult male entered a business in the 100 block of West Foothill with an empty bag and selected over 150 dollars in meat products and concealed them. He left the location without paying and was detained by security. An officer responded and the suspect was arrested and taken into custody.

On April 4 at 4:54 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the 700 block of West Huntington and noticed a Chevrolet Tahoe with damage to the rear door window in a hotel parking lot.  He approached the vehicle and saw the rear seat was missing. The officer was able to locate the owner, who indicated the seat was there before he entered the hotel for the night. The investigation is continuing.
Residential Burglary
On April 4 at 4:02 p.m., a residential burglary was reported in the 500 block of East Colorado. The victim left his back door open for his dogs. Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and took his television, which was located just inside the back door. The investigation is continuing.
Juveniles Fighting – Subjects Cited
On April 4 at 7:49 p.m., officers responded to the area of Myrtle and Palm regarding a fight in progress. A group of female juveniles were arguing and the argument escalated into a physical confrontation. Officers arrived and two female juveniles were cited for fighting.
Animal Problem
On April 4 at 11:21 p.m., a male subject was walking his leashed pit bull in the 200 block of West Walnut when a smaller dog rushed up and the two dogs began to bite each other. The owners tried to break up the dogs; one of the owners sustained a dog bite and the smaller dog sustained large lacerations. Pasadena Humane Society was called out to handle the incident and the bite victim was treated by the Monrovia Fire
Department.
Drunk in Public – Suspect Arrested
On April 5 at 8:00 p.m., a citizen called to report a male subject drunk in front of a business in the 300 block of West Huntington Drive. The intoxicated subject had pushed another subject when he was approached. An officer arrived and determined the subject was drunk in public and placed him under arrest. The subject was argumentative and required sobering before he could be booked for the charges several hours later.
Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Suspect Arrested
On April 5 at 9:01 p.m., officers on patrol observed a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road and then it ran a red light in the area of Myrtle & Palm. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and taken into custody.
