***MPD On Street this Week***
For those of you asking, MPD was on the street twice this week. It wasn't for a crime, but a civil matter between a home owner and a contractor per MPD. No crime or criminal concern for us her on Poinsettia.
July 28 at 9:03 a.m., officers responded to a parking structure in the 700 block of South Myrtle on the report of a subject passed out behind the wheel of a white Honda. When the officers arrived, they found two male subjects in the vehicle. As the driver exited the vehicle, he dropped a syringe containing what appeared to be heroin. The passenger attempted to run from the officers, but an officer gave chase and detained the second suspect. A search of the vehicle revealed additional heroin and methamphetamine; both suspects were arrested.
