Highlighted Activity for June 21-23, 2016
Grand Theft Auto
June 20 at 8:19 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of S. Myrtle regarding the report of a stolen vehicle. The victim stated his motorcycle was stolen from the apartment parking structure. The investigation is continuing.
Grand Theft Auto Recovery
June 20 at 4:58 p.m., a resident called police to report a vehicle had been abandoned along a red curb in the 1800 block of S. Mayflower for two days. Officers responded and the investigation revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Downey Police Department.
Theft From a Vehicle
June 21 at 9:22 a.m., the victim of a vehicle burglary called police to report a theft from his vehicle in the 100 block of N. Encinitas. The victim parked his vehicle and left his golf clubs inside. The vehicle was left unlocked. When he returned to his vehicle the next day, he found the back passenger door open and noticed his golf clubs were missing. The investigation is continuing.
Theft From a Vehicle
June 21 at 9:50 a.m., a vehicle burglary was reported in the 100 block of N. Mountain. The victim left his vehicle unlocked and when he returned, he discovered his center console had been ransacked. The investigation is continuing.
Residential Burglary
June 21 at 12:18 p.m., a residential burglary was reported in the 1300 block of S. Mayflower. The caller reported he found his garage open and several items were missing. The investigation is continuing.
Medical Assistance
June 21 at 10:37 p.m., a motorist called to report a possible DUI driver on Scenic and
Canyon. The driver was driving wrong way in opposing lanes of traffic. An officer
responded and located the driver and vehicle. The driver was found to be diabetic and
in need of medical help. Paramedics responded and treated the driver.

Highlighted Activity for November 12-15, 2015
Stolen Vehicle
November 12 at 7:35 a.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from the 100 block of West Pomona. The victim was out of the country for two weeks, and while he was away, his flatbed trailer was stolen from the location. He does not know when it was taken. The vehicle was entered into the law enforcement stolen vehicle database and the investigation is continuing.
Robbery
November 12 at 5:24 p.m., loss prevention personnel from a business in the 500 block of West Huntington Drive phoned police to report a robbery that had just occurred. A male suspect concealed two blankets and left the store without paying. The loss prevention officer confronted the suspect outside the store, but the suspect refused to go back into the store. As the loss prevention officer attempted to detain the suspect, he struck the loss prevention officer and fled. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, dark skin, mid-twenties, with a pony tail and small mustache. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt. The investigation is continuing.
Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested
November 13 at 3:36 p.m., a motorist observed a male subject driving north on Shamrock. The subject was swerving back and forth, brushing up against the curb. The witness called police and reported the driver for possible drunk driving. Officers responded and located the vehicle in the 200 block of Jasmine. The subject was found passed out behind the wheel. The windshield wipers were on, the engine was running, and the subject's foot was on the brake. Officers contacted the subject and he was positively identified by the witness as the driver. Field sobriety tests were conducted and the suspect was arrested for driving under the influence.
Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested
November 13 at 8:35 p.m., an officer responded to the area of Myrtle and Duarte Road on the report of a subject asleep at the wheel in the number two lane. The officer arrived and located the vehicle, which was running and in drive. The officer tapped on the window and the driver woke up, causing the vehicle to roll forward. The vehicle continued forward and then the driver accelerated, heading south on Myrtle. The officer ran back to his vehicle and followed the suspect. He located the vehicle at Myrtle and
Longden. The investigation determined the driver was intoxicated and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Fire Assist
November 14 at 11:39 a.m., a homeowner ruptured a pressurized gas line in the 300 block of Wildrose while doing construction work in their backyard. Officers responded to establish a safety perimeter and possible evacuation, but it was determined not necessary. A perimeter was set and the Gas Company was notified
Medical Assist
November 14 at 11:53 a.m., an officer responded to the report of a male subject having chest pains and difficulty breathing. When the officer arrived, he found the subject on the ground and another subject was performing chest compressions on him. Fire Department personnel also responded and the subject was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Suspicious Person – Robbery Suspect Arrested
November 14 at 1:56 p.m., a suspicious subject was reported at a business in the 500 block of West Huntington. The subject was a possible suspect from a robbery at the business that occurred on November 12. Officers arrived and after investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest for the robbery. The suspect was taken into custody and the stolen property from the robbery was recovered.
Vandalism
November 14 at 3:52 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Wildrose Avenue on the report of vandalism to three vehicles. The tires on all three vehicles had been slashed. Two additional vehicles were located in the area that also had their tires slashed. The investigation is continuing.
Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested
November 14 at 4:27 p.m., a possible drunk driver was reported in the area of Shamrock and Huntington. Officers located the vehicle, detained the driver and conducted field sobriety tests. The driver was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested for driving under the influence.
Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
November 14 at 7:27 p.m., an officer was dispatched to an apartment complex in the 1200 block of South Primrose on the report of a male adult subject yelling and banging his head against a door. When officers arrived, they determined the subject was intoxicated and could not care for himself. He was arrested for public intoxication and taken into custody.
Driving Under the Influence/Hit & Run Traffic Collision – Suspect Arrested
November 15 at 4:45 p.m., a driver reportedly struck a vehicle in the area of Magnolia and Chestnut. The driver stopped briefly, then left the scene without providing his identifying information. The suspect was located at his residence in the 200 block of Fig. The investigation revealed he was driving under the influence and he was arrested.

Highlighted activity weekend of 6/12-15/2015
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
On June 11 at 9:30 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of South Myrtle regarding
a family disturbance. When they arrived they discovered a female with scratch marks
on her face. She told the officers her boyfriend, whom she lives with, hit and pushed
her causing the injuries. After investigating, officers arrested the male for domestic
violence.
Vehicle Burglary
On June 11 at 8:11 p.m., an officer responded to a business in the 900 block of West
Huntington regarding a vehicle burglary. The victim reported his vehicle was broken
into and his stereo and navigation system were taken. The vehicle’s back window was
smashed to gain access. The investigation is continuing
Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Hit and Run Traffic Collision/Suspended
License – Suspect Arrested
On June 12 at 2:32 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West Duarte
Road regarding a call of a traffic collision that just occurred. Officers arrived and
discovered a solo vehicle collision into a garage door. The driver had fled the area prior
to officers arriving. A witness was located who described the driver of the vehicle and
said he fled on foot. Officers located the driver of the vehicle within 10 minutes. The
suspect admitted to fleeing the scene of the accident and drinking alcohol prior to the
collision. The suspect was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, hit and
run and suspended license.
Warrant - Suspect Arrest
On June 12 at 2:16 p.m., an officer responded to the Monrovia Police lobby regarding a
violation of court order. The subject’s ex-girlfriend was in violation of child custody
orders; however, he did not have the order with him. A computer check to view the
order also revealed the male had an outstanding warrant for his arrest with a bail over
$200,000 and a request from LA County Probation to not release if arrested. The
subject was taken into custody and arrested for the warrant.
Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Suspect Arrested
On June 12 at 12:19 p.m., an officer on patrol stopped a motorist for a vehicle code
violation in the 100 block of West Olive. A subsequent investigation revealed the
motorist was intoxicated. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of
alcohol.
Public Intoxication
On June 13 at 12:16 p.m., an officer was flagged down by a security officer in the 300
block of South Myrtle. The security officer reported a male subject in front of the
business who was intoxicated. It was determined he was unable to care for himself and
arrested for public intoxication. He was later released after sobering.
Medical Assist
On June 13 at 12:37 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a business in the 300 block of
South Myrtle regarding an unconscious subject. The subject was found to be extremely
intoxicated and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Fight in Progress
On June 13 at 1:41 a.m., officers were dispatched to a business reporting a fight in
progress in the 300 block of South Myrtle. During the evening a large group of subjects
gathered at the bar and celebrated downstairs. Upstairs another group of subjects were
playing pool. Between the two groups there were well over 300 patrons in the bar. A
reporting party came to the police station to report subjects were "Mad Dogging" each
other. Officers extra patrolled the bar and talked to the bar owner who agreed to close
at 1:30 a.m.
As the bar closed and subjects were leaving, three separate fights broke out.
A large
fight ensued on Myrtle Avenue in front of the bar. Monrovia officers, with the assistance
of Arcadia and Sierra Madre Police Department arrived on scene. Numerous subjects
dispersed spilling out onto neighboring streets. Due to the large crowd and subjects
fighting each other, officers were unable to determine who was involved in the fight and
no assault victims came forward. Officers were on scene for over 40 minutes.
Grand Theft Auto
On June 14 at 10:15 a.m., an officer responded to the 200 block of East Central
regarding a vehicle theft. The victim stated he left his locked vehicle on the street. The
vehicle was taken between the hours of 1:00 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. The vehicle taken was a
black, 1995 Honda Accord. The investigation is continuing.
Grand Theft Auto
On June 14 at 10:03 p.m., an officer was dispatched to 1100 block of South Alta Vista
regarding a stolen vehicle. The victim last saw her white, 1997 Honda Accord, on June
13, 2015, at 5:00 p.m. She noticed it missing from in front of her house on June 14,
2015, at 10:00 p.m. There was no evidence of forced entry. The investigation is
continuing.
