Highlighted activity 8/10-13/2017

Vandalism
August 10 at 10:00 a.m., a vandalism was reported in the 500 block of S. Mountain. An employee at YWCA called the police to report that the men's restroom had been vandalized with a black marker. The investigation is continuing.
Warrant – Suspect Arrested
August 10 at 7:35 p.m., an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of W. Olive. The officer recognized the driver from prior contacts and a computer check on the driver revealed he had several outstanding warrants. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested
August 10 at 9:26 p.m., an officer on patrol in the area of Foothill and Highland conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. Further investigation revealed the driver was too impaired to drive a motor vehicle. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
August 10 at 11:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of W. Colorado regarding a subject laying on the sidewalk with no shirt on. The officers contacted the subject and determined he was too intoxicated to care for himself. He was taken into custody and held for a sobering period.
Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
August 11 at 2:10 p.m., officers responded to the report of a subject almost being struck by a motorist in the 100 block of W. Palm Ave. The caller reported the subject was stumbling and appeared intoxicated. Officers located the subject and determined he was too intoxicated to care for himself. The subject was arrested, taken into custody and held for a sobering period.
Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
August 11 at 2:38 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 500 block of S. Myrtle regarding a 9-1-1 hang-up. Officers arrived and contacted a male subject, further investigation
revealed the subject could not care for himself. The subject was detained and taken into custody.
Evading a Peace Officer / Possession of a Controlled Substance / Receiving Stolen Property – Suspect Arrested
August 11 at 7:20 p.m., police received a call of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Elfwood and Norumbega. When officers arrived and attempted to contact the driver, the vehicle fled. The vehicle failed to yield for a short distance and then stopped at a dead end. During the investigation the suspect admitted he was in possession of heroin and stealing mail.
Robbery
August 11 at 9:13 p.m., an officer responded to a report of a robbery in the 400 block of W. Colorado. The victim was walking down the street texting when a male black forcefully took his phone out of his hand and fled. The investigation is continuing.
Domestic Violence
August 12 at 2:48 p.m., a domestic violence incident was reported in the 800 block of W. Walnut. A husband and wife had a verbal argument that escalated into a battery. The victim was punched twice in the face. When the officers arrived to the residence the husband had fled the scene. The victim refused medical treatment. An emergency protective order was granted and the suspect is being sought. The investigation is continuing.
Vehicle Burglary
August 12 at 4:48 p.m., a vehicle burglary was reported in the 1600 block of S. Mountain. The caller reported a vehicle in the parking lot with a smashed window. The owner was located and some items were stolen from the vehicle. The victim parked and locked his vehicle and went inside the business to shop. The suspect used an unknown tool to gain entry into the vehicle. The investigation is continuing.
Driving Under the Influence / Fatal Traffic Collision – Suspect Arrested
August 12 at 11:41 p.m., officers responded to a traffic collision in the area of Duarte and Magnolia. A vehicle travelling east on Duarte struck a pedestrian near the intersection of Magnolia. Officers arrived on scene and found the victim conscious but seriously injured. He was transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
August 13 at 12:36 a.m., a domestic violence incident was reported in the 400 block of Monrovista. The male and female were involved in an argument after the male arrived home intoxicated and with their child. The male kicked and punched the victim and threw her on the ground while he was holding the child. The male was arrested and taken into custody.

Highlighted Activity for August 3-6, 2017

Warrant – Suspect Arrested
August 3 at 12:29 p.m., a caller reported a possible theft in the area of Duarte and Magnolia. Officers arrived and located three subjects sitting at a bus bench, one of them matched the description of the theft suspect given to police. The investigation revealed that no crime was committed; however, one of the detained subjects was found to have two no-bail warrants for his arrest. The subject was arrested, booked and later released to the Redondo Beach Police Department on the warrant.
Commercial Burglary
August 4 at 8:30 a.m., a commercial burglary was reported at a business in the 2600 block of S. Myrtle Avenue. The victim locked and left his business on July 28 at 8:00 a.m. When he returned on August 4, he noticed the locks to his storage garage door were missing and he found car parts were missing from inside.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
August 4 at 2:41 p.m., a domestic violence incident was reported in the 200 block of W. Evergreen. The victim called to report that she was battered by her boyfriend. An officer responded and contacted both subjects. The victim alleged she was punched in the face and had visible injuries. The suspect was arrested, booked and is being held pending his court appearance.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Suspect Arrested
August 4 at 2:44 p.m., the victim of a grand theft auto that was stolen out of Baldwin Park located his vehicle in Monrovia in the 3300 block of S. Peck Road. He called police and was waiting for assistance, when the suspect arrived and entered the vehicle using a shaved key to try and start the car. Officers arrived and the suspect was detained. He was arrested, booked and held pending his court appearance.
Vandalism
August 5 at 7:47 a.m., a vandalism incident was reported at a park in the 300 block of N. Grand Avenue. Graffiti was spray painted on the steps going down to the park. Graffiti removal was advised.
Warrant – Suspect Arrested
August 5 at 11:02 a.m., police dispatch received a call reporting a subject causing a disturbance at Foothill and Alta Vista. When officers arrived, the subject was identified and found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was arrested for the warrant and taken into custody.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Suspect Arrested
August 6 at 3:25 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of W. Huntington regarding a subject parked at the location all day and sleeping in his vehicle. When officers arrived on scene, the subject was still asleep and they could see hypodermic needles in the vehicle. They woke the subject, who consented to a vehicle search. Needles and a methamphetamine pipe were found inside the vehicle. The suspect was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Highlighted Activity for July 27-30, 2017

Attempt Residential Burglary
July 27at 8:48 a.m., a resident in the 300 block of N. May called police to report two suspicious subjects on the side of her neighbor’s home. The resident was washing her vehicle in her driveway and watched the subjects look into the home and remove the window screen. The subjects fled east on Prospect in a silver 4 door vehicle prior to officers’ arrival. The investigation is ongoing.
Grand Theft Auto Recovery – Suspect Arrested
July 27 at 5:10 p.m., officers on patrol in the 2000 block of South Myrtle located a stolen vehicle. The officers made a traffic stop and detained two female suspects. The driver was detained and taken into custody.
Weapon Offense / Suspended License – Suspect Arrested
July 27 at 10:28 p.m., an officer on patrol in the area of Lime and Canyon stopped a motorcyclist for a vehicle code violation. The motorcyclist had a passenger not wearing a helmet. Further investigation revealed that the driver had a firearm in a compartment of the motorcycle and neither the driver or the passenger had a valid license.
Vehicle Burglary
July 28 at 3:28 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 900 block of W. Huntington Dr. regarding a vehicle burglary. The victim parked and locked her vehicle and went into the establishment to eat lunch. She returned about an hour later to find her vehicle window had been shattered, no loss could be determined. The investigation is continuing.
Elder Abuse
July 28 at 3:40 p.m., officers responded an elder abuse call. The hospital called the police to report an elderly woman was being treated for a back injury caused by a family member and an Adult Protective Services referral was being completed. Officers made contact with the victim who said her son pushed her causing her to fall. The investigation is ongoing.
Warrant / Possession Drug Paraphernalia – Suspect Arrested
July 29 at 3:34 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the 100 block of W. Duarte and noticed
a vehicle with a broken tail lamp. The officer stopped the vehicle for the violation and
further investigation revealed the driver had a no bail warrant and had
methamphetamine in his possession. The suspect was taken into custody and booked.
Vehicle Burglary
July 29 at 11:16 a.m., a vehicle burglary was reported in the 300 block of Grand. The
victim parked and locked his vehicle in front of his home on July 27. When he returned
to his vehicle, he noticed his third row seat had been stolen from his vehicle. No
witnesses, forced entry or evidence was found. The investigation is continuing.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
July 29 at 6:56 p.m., a domestic violence incident was reported in the 1000 block of
Orange. Officers arrived and determined a male subject at the residence was the
primary aggressor. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Commercial Burglary
July 30 at 8:01 a.m., officers were dispatched to a business in the 300 block of W.
Huntington on the report of a burglary. The employee arrived for work in the morning
and noticed the front window was smashed. The officers conducted an interior check
and discovered someone tried to open the safe, possibly with a sledge hammer. No
loss was noted other than the broken window. The investigation is continuing
Petty Theft – Suspect Arrested
July 30 at 1:50 p.m., a theft of an antique bicycle was reported by employees at a
business in the 400 block of S. Myrtle. An area search was done and an officer noticed
a female in the area of Maple and Primrose with a bicycle wheel. Apparently the tires
did not have any air in them and the suspect approached a local business owner asking
to help put air in them. The officer arrested the female who was later cited and
released.
Residential Burglary
July 30 at 6:26 p.m., a residential burglary was reported in the 100 block of N. Sunset.
The resident had an open house and during the open house a ring, one thousand
dollars and some credit cards were stolen. The investigation is on-going.
Vehicle Burglary
July 30 at 8:13 p.m., a vehicle burglary was reported in the 800 block of E. Olive. The
victim locked her vehicle, but left a window slightly down and walked to the skate park.
A few minutes later she saw some subjects loitering near her vehicle. When she walked
towards them, they got into a vehicle and fled. Her iPhone 7 was stolen from inside her
vehicle. Investigation is ongoing.
Theft / Traffic Offense – Suspect Arrested
July 31 at 12:37 a.m., an officer on patrol in the 700 block of E. Huntington stopped a
bicyclist for a vehicle code violation. Further investigation revealed the subject was in
possession of a stolen credit card. The suspect was taken into custody and booked.
Resisting / Delaying – Suspect Arrested
July 31 at 4:02 a.m., an officer on patrol in the area of California and Lemon conducted
a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. The driver was showing symptoms of being
under the influence. When the officer asked him to exit the vehicle, the subject would
not comply and began reaching for the center console. Officers ordered the subject out
of the vehicle and as soon as he exited the vehicle, he attempted to run and became
resistive as the officers tried to detain him. The suspect was apprehended, arrested and
booked.

Highlighted Activity for July 17-19, 2017

Child Annoying / Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance – Suspect Arrested July 17 at 9:04 p.m., police dispatch received multiple calls reporting an adult male chasing another adult male, who was holding a baby, in the area of Myrtle and Duarte. Officers arrived quickly and found several parents with children, who stated that the male had approached them and claimed that their child was his. Officers located the suspect and detained him. Their investigation revealed that the suspect was under the influence of a controlled substance. He was arrested and booked for several offenses.
Traffic Collision / Driving Under the Influence July 17 at 10:19 p.m., a traffic collision was reported in the area of Magnolia and Palm. A pickup truck was traveling on Magnolia and collided into multiple parked vehicles. The driver of the truck was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. Due to the injuries he sustained during the collision, he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The investigation is continuing.
Commercial Burglary July 18 at 3:37 a.m., police responded to a commercial burglary report at a business in the 900 block of W. Huntington. Unknown suspects shattered the front door to gain access to the business. The suspects entered and exited the location within 30 seconds, and then fled in a small silver sedan, heading west on Huntington. The suspects are described as two males wearing hooded sweatshirts. Officers conducted an area check, but were unable to locate the suspects. There was no loss other than the repair cost to fix the front door. The investigation is continuing.
Commercial Burglary July 18 at 6:00 a.m., a commercial burglary was reported at a business in the 100 block of W. Foothill. Sometime during the night, unknown suspects shattered the front window and entered the business after hours. The suspects removed the register and fled. The investigation is continuing.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested July 19 at 10:37 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 700 block of W. Duarte Road. A caller reported a male subject in front of the location, striking a female. Officers responded and located a witness that confirmed the report and told officers the couple had gone into the residence. Officers located both subjects inside the residence and confirmed the report. The male subject was arrested for domestic violence and taken into custody.
Trespassing – Suspect Arrested July 19 at 4:02 p.m., a male subject was reported trespassing at a residence in the 1200 block of S. Sherman. Officers responded and located the subject inside the residence. The officers confirmed that a no-trespassing order had been issued to the subject. He was arrested for violation of the court order.
Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested July 19 at 6:40 p.m., a possible drunk driver was reported leaving a gas station in the 1500 block of S. Myrtle. The driver seen entering the 210 Freeway at Myrtle. Officers located the driver at the 210 and 605 Freeway interchange and conducted a traffic stop. After investigation, the driver was determined to be driving under the influence and was arrested and taken into custody.
Weapon Offense – Suspect Arrested July 19 at 6:55 p.m., an employee from a business in the 1600 block of S. Mountain called police to report a possible shoplifting in progress. Officers arrived and detained the subject outside of the store. It was determined that the subject did not actually commit a theft, however he was in possession of a shuriken, a martial arts throwing star. He was arrested for the weapon offense.

Highlighted Activity for July 13-16, 2017

Injury Traffic Collision
July 13 at 11:00 a.m., a vehicle collision involving injuries was reported at a business lot in the 1400 block of S. Shamrock. A staff member was driving a customer’s vehicle and hit another employee that was driving a golf cart. The driver of the golf cart suffered a minor head injury and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Vehicle Burglary
July 14 at 7:03 a.m., a vehicle burglary was reported in a business parking lot in the 500 block of S. Mountain Avenue. The victim parked and locked her vehicle in the parking lot and 6:00 a.m. When she returned at 7:00 a.m., she noticed her rear passenger side window was shattered. The victim reported that she had left her satchel on the rear seat of the vehicle. The suspect smashed the window, reached in and fled with the satchel. The investigation is continuing.
Shoplifting / Battery – Suspect Arrested
July 14 at 12:43 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a business in the 1600 block of S. Mountain Avenue. A suspect was attempting to leave the business with store merchandise without paying. As the suspect approached the exit doors, he was confronted by the victim who tried to detain him. The suspect battered the victim and attempted to flee. The suspect was detained by loss prevention personnel and placed under citizen’s arrest for battery. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
Criminal Threats – Suspect Arrested
July 14 at 8:15 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 700 block of E. Central regarding a subject threatening an employee at the location. The suspect drove to Monrovia from Bakersfield after speaking to a salesman on the phone and confirming they had a vehicle he wanted to buy at the price he wanted to pay. When the suspect arrived at the dealership, the vehicle had already been sold. This infuriated the suspect because he had driven so far and he began threatening to harm the salesman. The suspect was arrested form criminal threats.
Residential Burglary
July 15 at 12:37 p.m., a residential burglary was reported in the 800 block of W. Hillcrest. The victim called police to report she had just returned home and found a female suspect inside her residence. The suspect fled, running east and out of sight.
Officers responded and searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The
investigation revealed the suspect made entry into the home through a back sliding
glass door and fled when she was confronted by the homeowner. Miscellaneous jewelry
was missing. The investigation is continuing.
Fight in Progress / Possible Hit and Run Traffic Collision – Suspect Arrested
July 15 at 7:14 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Los Angeles
regarding subjects fighting and a gun was reportedly seen. When officers arrived, there
were multiple subjects and multiple vehicles in the area, including an unoccupied
abandoned vehicle. The driver of that vehicle was found hiding on the roof of a home in
the area. He was apprehended by officers, arrested and cited for resisting and delaying
officers. No gun was located and the reporting party admitted she did not see a gun.
Further investigation revealed only a minor conflict had occurred and no other arrests
were made.
Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
July 16 at 1:58 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of W. Lemon
regarding a subject trying to break into a home. The officers arrived and found a male
subject outside the residence and he was extremely intoxicated. He thought he was at a
friend’s house. The subject was too intoxicated to care for his own safety. He was
arrested for public intoxication.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
July 16 at 6:43 a.m., a witness called police and reported a male suspect battering a
female in the 300 block of W. Chestnut. Officers arrived and detained both parties
involved. The investigation revealed that although there were no visible injuries, the
male had battered the female subject, who is his girlfriend. The suspect was arrested
and taken into custody.
Possession of a Controlled Substance – Suspect Arrested
July 16 at 9:45 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the 400 block of W. Olive when he
observed a male subject on a bicycle that ran a stop sign. The officer stopped the
subject and found he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. During a search of his
person, drugs were found in his pocket. The suspect was arrested for drug possession
and the warrant.
Trespassing – Suspect Arrested
July 16 at 3:30 p.m., a suspect was reported trespassing at a business in the 700 block
of E. Huntington. The suspect has been served with a no-trespassing order for the
location. Officers arrived, located the suspect and detained him. The video surveillance
confirmed the suspect had entered the store in violation of the trespassing order. The
suspect was arrested and issued a citation to appear in court on the charges.

Highlighted Activity for June 8-11, 2017

Warrant / Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales – Suspect Arrested
June 8 at 8:08 p.m., officers were on patrol in the 500 block of W. Huntington and recognized a subject who was wanted for attempted murder. They detained the suspect, confirmed the warrant and arrested him. While booking the suspect, a large quantity of drugs were found on him packaged in bindles and ready for sale. The charge was added to his booking.
Robbery
June 8 at 9:03 p.m., a robbery was reported at a hotel in the 700 block of W. Huntington. The suspect entered the lobby of the hotel wearing a skeleton mask and demanding money. He then fled the location in a newer, light-colored sedan, which was parked in front of the hotel. The suspect is described as a male Black, 35 to 40 years old, about 6’3” and 250 pounds. The investigation is continuing.
Warrant – Suspect Arrested
June 9 at 5:03 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Lemon and Mountain regarding a male subject walking around with bleach and acting suspicious. Officers located the individual and a computer check revealed a warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and taken into custody for the warrant.

June 9 at 9:41 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the 300 block of W. Huntington when he observed a subject that he recognized from previous contacts and he knew had an outstanding warrant. A computer check confirmed the warrant and the subject was arrested and taken into custody.
Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested
June 9 at 5:11 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of W. Huntington regarding a vehicle that collided into the center divider and ruptured two tires. The officer arrived and, through investigation, determined the driver was intoxicated. The suspect was arrested, taken into custody and held for a sobering period.
Burglary Alarm
June 9 at 6:00 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of N. Canyon regarding a burglary alarm activation. They arrived at the location and found a door had been kicked in, but it did not appear anything was taken. The investigation is continuing.
Grand Theft Auto
June 9 at 9:57 p.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from the 500 block of E. Olive. The victim advertised his vehicle for sale on Craigslist. A potential buyer called him and arranged to meet for a test drive. The buyer insisted the victim bring the vehicle registration and pink slip. While on the test drive, the suspect told the victim he heard a noise and wanted to switch seats and let the victim drive. When the victim exited the vehicle, the suspect drove off. The investigation is continuing.
Warrant / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Suspect Arrested
June 9 at 11:32 p.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of Primrose and Huntington when he saw a vehicle with a subject sleeping inside. He stopped to check on the subject and subsequently ran a DMV check on the subject. The subject was found to have an outstanding warrant. He was arrested for the warrant and also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, which was added to his charges.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
June 10 at 11:29 a.m., a domestic violence incident was reported in a business parking lot in the 400 block of W. Huntington. The incident involved a 16-year-old female and 18-year-old who have been in a dating relationship for the last 19 months. The couple were in a vehicle and began to argue over the female getting the male suspect’s food order wrong. The female became upset and moved to the backseat. The argument escalated and the male suspect leaned into the backseat and punched the female in the head several times. Witnesses detained the suspect and called the police. The suspect was arrested and the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. An Emergency Protective Order was issued and the Department of Child and Family Services was advised.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
June 10 at 12:37 p.m., witnesses reported a male and female arguing and physically fighting to the rear of a hotel in the 700 block of W. Huntington. The male suspect was hitting the female and slammed her up against a storage container. When police arrived the male suspect was gone. The female refused medical attention, but did have a noticeable bruise/bump on her forehead. The male suspect was eventually located behind a storage container to the rear of the hotel. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Vandalism / Battery – Suspect Arrested
June 10 at 2:56 p.m., an officer responded to a business in the 1600 block of S. Mountain regarding a battery in progress. The male suspect went into the business to return an item his mother had purchased. The suspect began to argue with the sales associates. He became irate and started throwing paint from a display counter, causing a mess. The associates were escorting him off property, when he physically battered one of the associates. The associate took him to the ground and held him until police arrived. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Suspect Arrested
June 10 at 6:53 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 500 block of W. Huntington regarding a petty theft. The suspect was located and a pat-down search revealed a drug pipe in his possession. Store security did not want to press charges for petty theft, but the suspect was arrested for the possession of drug paraphernalia.
Residential Burglary
June 10 at 9:03 p.m., a residential burglary was reported in the 600 block of Norumbega. The victim’s home is for sale and they were notified by their realtor that a door was found open. The victim responded to the home and discovered that some paintings and tools had been stolen. The victim believes the door may have been left unlocked. The investigation is continuing.
Grand Theft Auto
June 11 at 1:39 a.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from the 500 block of W. Lemon. The victim parked their Maroon Honda Civic on the street in front of the residence. It was seen by a family member at 11:30 p.m. and discovered missing at 11:45 p.m. The investigation is continuing.
Receiving Stolen Property / Felon in Possession of Ammunition / Stolen Credit Cards / Possession of a Controlled Substance – Suspects Arrested
June 11 at 1:57 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation in the area of Mountain and Huntington. The investigation revealed the driver was a felon in possession of ammunition and had stolen property. The passenger had numerous credit cards that did not belong to her and was later found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Two victims were contacted and said their vehicles had been burglarized earlier in the evening. Their wallet and purse had been taken in the incidents. Both suspects was arrested.
Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested
June 11 at 4:30 p.m., a possible drunk driver in the 300 block of E. Hillcrest was reported to police. An officer arrived in the area and observed a vehicle come to a stop. The driver of the vehicle started yelling at the officer using vulgar language. The investigation revealed the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested, booked and held for a sobering period. He was later released with a citation to appear in court.
Vehicle Burglary
June 11 at 4:56 p.m., a vehicle burglary was reported in the 300 block of N. Encinitas. Unknown suspects made entry into the vehicle that was parked and believed to be locked. The investigation continues.

Highlighted Activity for June 5-7, 2017

Vehicle Burglary
June 5 at 8:35 a.m., a vehicle burglary that occurred in the 1200 block of S. Alta Vista
was reported to police. The victim parked his vehicle the evening before and returned to
it the next morning to find a window shattered and a gym bag that was in the vehicle
was missing. The investigation is continuing.
Suspicious Circumstances / Warrant – Suspect Arrested
June 5 at 12:02 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 1600 block of S. Mountain
to investigate a suspicious female subject seen carrying merchandise around the inside
of the store. The same female had been seen at the store’s El Monte location, trying to
go out an emergency exit with similar merchandise and nearby stores were notified.
There was a vehicle parked outside the emergency exit that matched the description of
a vehicle seen at the El Monte location. Officers arrived, contacted the female and
stopped the vehicle, which had just left the parking lot. The vehicle was a rental that had
its plates covered and was being driven by a subject that was found to have a no-bail
probation warrant, in addition to other warrants. The male subject was arrested for the
warrants and the vehicle was stored. The female was identified and released, as she
had not left the store with the merchandise.
Domestic Battery
June 5 at 5:07 p.m., police responded to the report of a domestic battery incident in
progress in the 700 block of Montana. The suspect is the estranged husband of the
victim. The suspect came to the victim's residence while she had a male friend over and
became involved in a physical altercation with both the male subject and his estranged
wife. During the altercation, the suspect broke his ankle. The suspect was taken to a
hospital for treatment. He was issued a citation to appear in court on the battery
charges and was served with an Emergency Protective Order.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered
June 7 at 6:10 a.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from the 300 block of Pine Tree
Lane. The victim reported that the vehicle was parked on the street and was locked.
The vehicle was located by Monrovia parking control officers three hours later,
unoccupied, and parked in the 300 block of N Encinitas. Several items were missing
from the interior of the vehicle. The vehicle was returned to the victim and the
investigation is continuing.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
June 7 at 8:28 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of W. Cypress on the report of
a domestic violence incident. The investigation revealed that the male subject struck his
girlfriend during an argument. The altercation resulted in redness and bruising to the
female. The male subject was arrested for domestic violence.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Suspect Arrested
June 7 at 1:45 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 1600 block of S. Mountain
Avenue to investigate a possible theft. Store loss prevention was observing a male
suspect inside the store concealing merchandise and a waiting vehicle outside. Officers
arrived and located the male suspect outside, next to the unoccupied vehicle. The
vehicle was found to be a reported stolen. The male suspect told police he had driven
the vehicle to the location and knew it was stolen. The suspect was arrested and taken
into custody.
Possession of a Controlled Substance / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia –
Suspect Arrested
June 7 at 3:29 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of S. Shamrock Avenue
regarding a possible domestic violence incident. The officers located the subjects and
determined there was no domestic violence that occurred, but during the course of the
investigation, they discovered the male subject was in possession of drug paraphernalia
and methamphetamine. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Warrant – Suspect Arrested
June 1 at 10:43 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the 900 block of S. Magnolia when he recognized a subject he knew to have an outstanding warrant. The officer detained the subject, confirmed the warrant and took him into custody. The subject was booked and held pending a court appearance.
Warrant – Suspect Arrested
June 1 at 2:31 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of W. Huntington Drive for committing a vehicle code violation. The officer contacted the driver and a computer check revealed an outstanding arrest warrant, and that the subject was unlicensed. The suspect was taken into custody, booked and held pending a court appearance.
Traffic Collision / Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested
June 2 at 6:33 a.m., a solo-vehicle traffic collision was reported in the 900 block of E. Huntington Drive. Officers arrived and contacted the driver, who demonstrated signs of alcohol intoxication. The investigation determined the subject was intoxicated and collided into a parked vehicle. No injuries were sustained. The suspect was arrested, booked and held for a sobering period. She was then released with a citation to appear in court on the charges.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
June 2 at 8:52 p.m., a domestic dispute was reported in the 100 block of N. Myrtle. A couple who were living together were ending their relationship and the female was moving out. As the male subject was helping her get her things out of the residence, the female became upset and threw a hard object at the male subject, striking him in the back of the head and causing a large laceration. The female was arrested for domestic violence.
Domestic Violence
June 3 at 7:12 a.m., a female resident in the 900 block of S. Fifth Avenue called police to report that she and her boyfriend were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical. The male suspect fled prior to police arriving. The female subject had no visible injuries, however, she complained of pain to her shoulder. The investigation is continuing.
Vandalism
June 3 at 8:11 a.m., a vehicle vandalism was reported in the 200 block of W. Chestnut Avenue. The victim parked his vehicle on the street and left it there overnight. He returned to his vehicle in the morning and found damage to his driver-side window. A rock had been used to smash the window. No entry was made and nothing was taken from vehicle. The investigation is continuing.
Petty Theft – Suspect Arrested
June 3 at 7:23 p.m., a petty theft was reported at a business in the 300 block of W. Huntington Drive. A male suspect entered the business, selected items and then exited without paying. An officer responded and the suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
Public Intoxication – Suspects Arrested
June 3 at 8:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Palm and Alta Vista to check on the welfare of two females. They arrived and found both women were extremely intoxicated and unable to care for themselves or others. They were arrested for being drunk in public.
Family Disturbance / Battery – Suspect Arrested
June 4 at 8:59 p.m., a family disturbance was reported in the 900 block of S. Fifth Avenue. Officers responded on the report of a mother and son arguing. The investigation revealed the son had hit his mother and tried to prevent her from calling the police for help. The suspect was arrested.

Highlighted Activity for March 30 - April 1, 2017


Shoplifting / Possession of a Controlled Substance / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Suspect Arrested
March 30 at 1:01 p.m., a loss prevention employee at a business in the 500 block of W. Huntington called police to report a male suspect they had detained for petty theft. Officers responded and arrested the suspect for the petty theft and during a search of the suspect, officers found he was in possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine, which were added to his charges.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered
March 30 at 1:58 p.m., a parking control officer located an unoccupied vehicle parked in the 300 block of S. Lincoln that had been reported stolen. An officer responded and confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Baldwin Park earlier in the day. The vehicle is a silver, 2000 Honda Civic. The officer recovered the vehicle.
Warrant – Suspect Arrested
March 30 at 10:49 p.m., an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of California and Lime for a vehicle code violation. The driver was found to be unlicensed and a parolee with an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Battery – Suspect Arrested
March 31 at 3:18 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Norumbega regarding a family disturbance. A mother and daughter were arguing and the daughter bit her mother’s finger. She also damaged property. The daughter fled the location prior to officers arriving, but was found hiding in a parked vehicle near the home; she was arrested for battery.
Attempt Commercial Burglary
March 31 at 9:34 a.m., an attempt burglary was reported at a business in the 600 block of W. Huntington. The suspects broke through the roof of two businesses and then through a wall in an attempt to access a third business. It appears the suspects were unable to access the area they were attempting to burglarize and left back up through the roof opening. The investigation is continuing.
Riding a Bicycle Under the Influence of Alcohol – Suspect Arrested
March 31 at 12:21 p.m., an officer was dispatched on the report of a male adult riding a bicycle recklessly throughout the park in the 300 block of S. Myrtle and nearly hitting several pedestrians. Officers located the subject and determined he was intoxicated. The subject was also combative with the officers. He was arrested for riding a bicycle while under the influence of alcohol.
Grand Theft
April 1 at 5:07 p.m., a grand theft was reported by employees at a business in the 100 block of W. Foothill. The suspect stole a large amount of liquor from the business on March 31, but the store did not file a report at that time. The suspect returned to the store on April 1 and was recognized by employees, but he left the business. The employees then called police to report the prior theft. The investigation will continue.
Domestic Violence
April 1 at 7:11 p.m., a domestic violence incident was reported at Myrtle and Chestnut. The victim reported that her boyfriend gave her an iPhone for her birthday and then asked for it back. When she refused, he hit her on the head twice and took her glasses, then fled. The investigation is continuing.
Driving Under the Influence
April 1 at 9:23 p.m., a witness called police and reported a drunk driver in the 200 block of Stedman. An officer responded and located the driver stopped in the middle of the street. After investigation, the driver was determined to be driving under the influence and was arrested and taken into custody.
Robbery
April 2 at 1:26 a.m., a robbery was reported in the 200 block of W. Lemon. The male victim was dropped off by Uber on Magnolia. As the victim walked east through an alley, a vehicle traveling west in the alley stopped and a male suspect exited. He approached the victim and told him to drop his phone. When the victim turned toward the suspect, he saw a gun in the suspect’s hand. The victim dropped his phone and was then instructed to drop his wallet. The victim dropped his wallet and walked away. The suspect fled the area. The investigation is continuing.
Grand Theft Auto
April 2 at 8:37 a.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from the 200 block of E. Pomona. The victim parked and locked his green, four-door, 1995 Honda Accord in front of his home and went in for the evening. He returned to his vehicle in the morning and found his car had been stolen. The investigation is continuing.
Bicycle Vs. Pedestrian Traffic Collision / Riding a Bicycle Under the Influence of Alcohol – Suspect Arrested
April 2 at 4:19 p.m., a bicycle versus pedestrian collision was reported in the 300 block of Duarte Road. The father of a four-year-old girl called police to report that a male subject on a bicycle swerved and hit his daughter's leg, causing a minor injury. The suspect refused to stay at the scene and rode away; however, the father was able to provide a detailed description of the suspect. Officers were able to locate the suspect and he was arrested and held for a sobering period.

Highlighted Activity for March 23-26, 2017


Vandalism
March 23 at 11:52 a.m., a vandalism incident was reported at a residence in the 800 block of E. Foothill. The reporting party was at home when she heard glass break. A ball bearing came through the front window. It is unknown if the ball bearing was intentionally shot through the front window by a BB gun or if it came off of a vehicle, as the location is in close proximity to the street. The investigation is continuing.
Violation of Court Order / Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
March 23 at 2:49 p.m., an altercation was reported at a residence in the 1400 block of S. Magnolia. The altercation was between a male and female that are involved in a dating relationship. Officers arrived and contacted the female. The learned there is a restraining order against the female and she is not allowed at the location. She stated that her boyfriend punched her. He was not at the location. The female was arrested for violation of the court order and the case will be sent to the District Attorney for filing charges against the male suspect.
Warrant – Suspect Arrested
March 23 at 4:45 p.m., officers responded to a call of a disturbance at a park in the 300 block of S. Myrtle. One of the subjects causing the disturbance was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest and she was arrested without incident.
Battery
March 23 at 7:06 p.m., a battery incident was reported at a residence in the 100 block of N. Mountain. The reporting party advised that the brother of a female resident pushed his sister to the ground and left the area. Officers responded to the location and attempted to get a statement from the female, but she suffers from dementia and could not remember what happened. The female had a complaint of pain to her head and wanted to go to the hospital. Officers called the brother and he said he got into an argument with his sister about her not wanting to live there anymore. He said he was trying to restrain his sister when he lost his balance and fell to the ground with her. The investigation is continuing.
Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
March 24 at 2:08 a.m., a caller dialed 911 and said she was stuck in an elevator, but
didn't know where she was. Dispatchers were able to determine she was at the Metro
parking structure in the 1600 block of S. Primrose. Officers arrived and located the
female inside the elevator. Upon speaking with her, they realized she was extremely
intoxicated and unable to care for her own safety. She was arrested for being drunk in
public and held for a sobering period.
Trespassing / Unlawful Possession of Access Cards – Suspect Arrested
March 24 at 5:19 a.m., a caller reported a male subject sleeping in the lobby of a
building in the 100 block of E. Huntington. When Officers arrived, they woke the subject.
A consent search, revealed the subject was in possession of two credit cards in
someone else's name. The subject said the cards belonged to his aunt and he admitted
to stealing them. The subject was arrested for possession of the cards.
Warrant – Suspect Arrested
March 24 at 8:32 a.m., a female resident in the 1700 block of S. Mountain called police
to report her ex-husband was at the location. She advised he had an outstanding
warrant for his arrest. Officers responded and contacted the subject. A computer check
confirmed the warrant and he was arrested and taken into custody.
Warrants – Suspects Arrested
March 24 at 12:17 p.m., officers were on patrol in the 100 block of W. Palm when they
contacted four subjects in an alley. Two of the subjects had warrants for their arrest.
They were arrested and taken into custody.
Vandalism
March 24 at 4:13 p.m., a vandalism incident was reported in a parking lot in the 100
block of E. Lime. The victim parked her vehicle in the lot for several hours. When she
returned to her vehicle, she found it had been keyed. The victim believes it may be
related to an earlier incident where two subjects were arguing with her over a parking
space. The investigation is continuing.
Warrants / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Suspect Arrested
March 25 at 1:15 a.m., an officer on patrol was driving in the 100 block of East Lemon
when he was flagged down by a business owner. The officer was told a male and
female were drinking alcohol outside in the street. Officers located the subjects and a
computer check revealed the male subject had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
When he was searched, the officer found two glass drug pipes on him. He was arrested
for the warrants and being in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
March 25 at 2:01 a.m., a female subject walked into the police station lobby and was
waiting for her friend, who had been arrested for warrants, to be released. While waiting
in the lobby, an officer saw her drinking alcohol from a bottle. The officer contacted her
and told her to pour out the alcohol outside. When she walked outside the station, she
tried to drink more whiskey from the bottle, but forgot the cap was on. The officer
determined she was too intoxicated to care for her own safety and she was arrested for
being drunk in public and held for a sobering period.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered
March 25 at 2:04 a.m., an officer was providing extra patrol to a business parking lot in
the 900 block of W. Huntington when he saw an unoccupied vehicle that looked like it
had been ransacked. He ran the license plate and it returned stolen out of Arcadia. The
vehicle was recovered.
Injury Traffic Collision / Driving on a Suspended License
March 25 at 1:47 p.m., three vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision at the
intersection of Mayflower and Huntington. Three subjects from the accident complained
of pain and were treated by paramedics. The driver that caused the collision was driving
on a suspended license. He was cited and his vehicle was towed for being unregistered.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Suspects Arrested
March 26 at 12:50 a.m., an officer was driving in the 400 block of W. Huntington when
he saw a suspicious vehicle. He conducted a computer check of the vehicle, which
revealed it had been reported stolen. Officers responded to assist and a high-risk traffic
stop was conducted. Two suspects were taken into custody without incident. During a
search of the vehicle incident to arrest, evidence of fraud and stolen property were
recovered.
Possession of a Controlled Substance – Suspect Arrested
March 26 at 1:12 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation in
the 100 block of W. Duarte Road. The driver was determined to be driving on a
suspended driver's license. During a consensual search of the vehicle, a baggie of
heroin and a needle belonging to the passenger were recovered. The passenger was
arrested.
Vehicle Tampering
March 26 at 3:46 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the area of Chestnut and Magnolia
regarding a male subject breaking into a vehicle. The officer arrived and found a subject
lying inside of a vehicle. The subject was detained. The owner of the vehicle responded
and completed a private person's arrest for vehicle tampering. The suspect was
arrested without incident.
Theft / Warrant – Suspect Arrested
March 26 at 2:21 p.m., a female subject was reported for taking beer from a location in
the 700 block of E. Huntington without paying for it. The suspect stayed at the location
in a vehicle and was detained by officers. A computer check revealed she also had a
warrant for her arrest. She was arrested for the theft and the warrant.
Domestic Battery
March 26 at 2:49 p.m., a fight in progress between a male and female was reported in
the 100 block of E. Lemon. Officers arrived and detained both parties involved in the
fight. The two are involved in a dating relationship. During the investigation, it was
determined the female subject was the primary aggressor. She was arrested for
domestic battery.

Highlighted Activity for March 16-19, 2017


Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
March 16 at 9:25 a.m., police received a call reporting a male subject had struck a female and proceeded to force her into a public restroom at the Metro Rail Station in the 1600 block of S. Myrtle. Officers were dispatched to the location. Officers were given a good description of both parties and quickly detained both subjects. After investigation, the male half was arrested for domestic violence.
Family Disturbance / Warrant – Suspect Arrested
March 16 at 11:45 a.m., officers responded to the report of a family disturbance at a residence in the 1400 block of S. Magnolia. When officers arrived, they spoke to the female half and discovered she had an outstanding warrant. She was arrested and removed from the location.
Petty Theft / Warrant – Suspect Arrested
March 16 at 12:32 p.m., a shoplifting in progress was reported at a business in the 300 block of W. Huntington Drive. Officers arrived and located two suspects matching the description provided by the reporting party. One of the subjects had outstanding warrants and was arrested. The other was released.
Warrants – Suspect Arrested
March 16 at 10:37 p.m., officers were on patrol near a park in the 300 block of S. Myrtle and found a subject sleeping in a walkway. A computer check revealed he had two outstanding warrants and he was arrested.
Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
March 17 at 2:46 a.m., officers were on patrol in the 100 block of Los Angeles when they saw a subject stumbling in an alley. He was found to be extremely intoxicated and unable to care for his own safety. He was arrested for being drunk in public.
Grand Theft Auto Attempt
March 17 at 10:22 a.m., officers responded to the report of a vehicle burglary in the 200 block of Kruse Avenue. When they arrived, they found the ignition to the victim's vehicle had been punched and there was a shaved screw driver left on the floorboard of the vehicle. The stereo had been removed and stolen. It appears the suspects were attempting to steal the vehicle, but were not successful. The vehicle was locked. The investigation is continuing.
Traffic Collision / Property Damage
March 17 at 10:31 a.m., a traffic collision was reported in the 100 block of E. Walnut. An elderly female was attempting to park and forgot to place her foot on the brake. She continued to drive through the parking spot, over the curb and into the front glass windows of a business. She narrowly missed an employee inside the business. The driver was given a re-examination notification.
Drunk in Public – Suspect Arrested
March 17 at 10:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Spanner regarding a female subject lying on the ground and a male standing over her. Officers arrived and learned that the subjects are boyfriend and girlfriend. They were both extremely intoxicated and were trying to walk home. The female had fallen several times and the male kept picking her up to try to walk her home. The female was so intoxicated she had to be taken to a hospital for treatment. The male was too intoxicated to care for his own safety and was arrested for being drunk in public.
Traffic Collision
March 18 at 7:51 p.m., a traffic collision was reported in the 1000 block of Briarcliff. A vehicle traveling on Briarcliff went off the side of the road and landed approximately ten feet down an embankment. There were four occupants in the vehicle, but none of them were injured. It appears the owner of the vehicle had done some work on the brakes and may have left air in the lines, causing the brakes to fail.
Trespassing – Suspects Arrested
March 19 at 10:50 p.m., officers responded to a trespassing report at a motel in the 900 block of E. Huntington. A subject was entering the room he had rented at the motel and found a young male and female were inside the room. Both subjects fled on foot from the room. The male subject dropped his wallet in the room as he was leaving. Both subjects returned to the Motel to retrieve the wallet and were detained by officers. Further investigation revealed the door had been left unlocked by management and they had only been in the room for a few minutes. The 16-year-old female was found to be a reported runaway from Los Angeles. Both subjects were arrested for trespassing.

Highlighted Activity for February 23-26, 2017


False Evidence of Registration / Ex-Felon in Possession of Firearm – Suspects Arrested
February 23 at 5:14 p.m., an officer on patrol in the 200 block of E. Lime Avenue stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation. The vehicle registration was expired, but the vehicle displayed current registration stickers. The officer obtained permission to search the vehicle and a gun was found inside. One of the two occupants in the vehicle was an ex-felon. Both occupants were arrested. The gun was not registered to either of the subjects and had not been reported stolen.
Grand Theft Auto
February 23 at 7:14 p.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from the 500 block of E. Lime. The vehicle was parked on the street overnight. When the owner returned to the vehicle in the morning, it was gone. The vehicle is a white Ford Focus. The investigation is continuing.
Injury Traffic Collision
February 23 at 10:16 p.m., a solo vehicle traffic collision involving injuries occurred at Myrtle and Foothill. The driver was heading west on Foothill, approaching Myrtle, when he fell asleep at the wheel, momentarily. When he awoke, he swerved and lost control of the vehicle, colliding into the wall of the bank building on the corner. No other vehicles were involved and the driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested
February 24 at 5:04 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Myrtle and Duarte on the report of a vehicle in the roadway with someone slumped over the steering wheel. Officers arrived and determined the driver was intoxicated. He was arrested for driving under the influence.
Vehicle Code Violation / Warrants – Suspects Arrested
February 24 at 5:30 p.m., an officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation in the 200 block of E. Duarte Road. Two of the occupants had outstanding warrants and were subsequently arrested for the warrants. The driver was found to be operating the vehicle on a suspended license. The vehicle was stored.
Grand Theft
February 25 at 9:22 p.m., a grand theft was reported at a business in the 600 block of S. Myrtle. An unknown suspect entered the business and took cash from a backpack behind the counter. The investigation is continuing.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
February 26 at 2:31 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Montana regarding possible domestic violence occurring. The reporting party could hear a male yelling and a female crying. Officers arrived and found the female subject had visible injuries on her face. The male subject was arrested for domestic violence.
Theft From a Vehicle
February 26 at 10:15 a.m., a theft from a vehicle was reported in the 1300 block of S. Alta Vista. The victim reported that the license plates were stolen off his vehicle, along with items from inside. The vehicle was left unlocked. The investigation is continuing.
Vehicle Burglary
February 26 at 12:18 p.m., a vehicle burglary was reported at a business parking lot in the 700 block of W. Huntington. The victim parked her vehicle in the lot at 7:00 a.m. When she returned to her vehicle around noon, the window had been smashed and her purse had been stolen from the vehicle. The investigation is continuing.
Drug Activity / Counterfeit Currency / Possession of Burglary Tools – Suspect Arrested
February 26 at 2:46 p.m., officers went to a residence in the 700 block of W. Colorado to conduct a probation compliance search of a male juvenile. The search revealed the juvenile was in possession of heroin, counterfeit currency and burglary tools. He was arrested and later released to his family.
Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
February 26 at 9:07 p.m., dispatch received a call reporting a male subject that was lying in the road. An officer responded to the area and located the subject. The subject was extremely intoxicated and refused to provide his name. He was arrested for being drunk in public and held for a sobering period.

Highlighted Activity for February 20-22, 2017

Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
February 20 at 7:16 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of W. Central regarding a domestic violence incident. The victim reported that her husband battered her during an argument. Officers interviewed both subjects involved and arrested the husband for domestic violence.
Grand Theft
February 20 at 5:00 p.m., a grand theft was reported in the 200 block of N. Encinitas. Sometime during the early morning hours, someone stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s Honda Accord that was parked on the street in front of her home. The investigation is continuing.
Petty Theft – Suspect Arrested
February 20 at 8:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to a business in the 500 block of W. Huntington on the report of a theft that just occurred. Two male suspects entered the store and went to the shoe department, where they removed price tags from shoes, concealed them in their pants and left the location without paying. Store security saw the suspects enter a vehicle and drive east on Huntington. Officers located and stopped the vehicle. The suspects were positively identified by store security and arrested.
Grand Theft
February 21 at 7:21 a.m., a resident in the 200 block of Poppy Avenue called police to report a grand theft. The victim parked his vehicle in front of his home in the evening. When he returned to his vehicle in the morning, he found the catalytic converter had been stolen off the vehicle. The investigation is continuing.

February 21 at 8:06 a.m., a grand theft was reported at a residence in the 200 block of W. Pomona Avenue. A dirt compactor was stolen from a construction site sometime during the evening or early morning hours. The investigation is continuing.
Medical Assist / Drug Offence
February 22 at 11:29 a.m., staff at the high school called police to report three juveniles were complaining of stomach pain and were throwing up. Officers arrived and determined the juveniles had ingested edible marijuana. The paramedics and parents were summoned. The juveniles were taken to the hospital for treatment. The investigation is continuing.
Public Intoxication – Suspects Arrested
February 23 at 3:13 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of W. Colorado regarding two subjects causing a disturbance. They contacted the subjects and determined they were intoxicated and unable to provide care for themselves. They were arrested for being drunk in public and held for a sobering period.

Highlighted Activity for February 16-19, 2017


Stolen Vehicle Recovered
February 16 at 10:56 a.m., officers responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a business parking lot in the 1600 block of S. Mountain Avenue. Officers located the vehicle and determined it was stolen. The vehicle was processed and returned to the owner. No suspects were located.
Residential Burglary
February 16 at 8:59 p.m., a residential burglary was reported in the 200 block of N. Encinitas. An unknown suspect entered the residence through an unlocked back door and took a backpack belonging to a juvenile. The suspect then fled. The investigation is continuing.
Battery
February 17 at 11:03 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1400 block of S. Magnolia to investigate a physical altercation between a mother and her adult daughter, which has been an ongoing problem. The mother has signed a no trespass order against her daughter, who has returned to the residence on multiple occasions for a variety of reasons,a` and has been arrested for violation of the order. The mother allowed the daughter to stay at the home overnight, but then asked her to leave because DCFS was coming to the house and the daughter was not supposed to be there. The two began to argue and the argument turned physical. A report will be filed with the District Attorney’s office for battery charges.
Possession of Methamphetamine / Warrants – Suspect Arrested
February 17 at 2:27 p.m., a suspicious vehicle was reported in the 200 block of N. Ivy Avenue. An officer arrived and located the vehicle and a person in the driver's seat who appeared to be hiding from the officer. During the course of the investigation, the officer discovered the driver had several warrants, no license, and methamphetamine on his person. The suspect was arrested.
Residential Burglary
February 17 at 11:09 p.m., a residential burglary was reported in the 300 block of Bradbury. The victim left his residence for several hours. When he returned, he found
the back sliding door shattered and his home had been ransacked. The resident is determining the loss. The investigation is continuing.
Stolen Vehicle
February 18 at 8:15 a.m., the victim parked their vehicle in their apartment complex parking lot in the 900 block of W. Walnut in the evening. They returned to the lot in the morning and the vehicle had been stolen. The keys were in the vehicle. The vehicle is a 2015 Lexus IS 250. The investigation is continuing.
Domestic Violence
February 18 at 12:54 p.m., a victim of domestic violence went to her friend’s home and told the friend that her boyfriend had beaten her. The incident occurred in the 200 block of W. Colorado and the victim had visible injuries; she was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. Officers went to the boyfriend's residence and interviewed him. He was then arrested for domestic violence.
Vehicle Burglary
February 18 at 3:44 p.m., employees at a business in the 1100 block of E. Huntington witnessed a male Hispanic suspect with a tattoo on his neck enter a locked vehicle in the business parking lot. The suspect fled in a gold, 4-door sedan, possibly a Honda or Toyota. The investigation is continuing.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered
February 18 at 3:50 p.m., two suspicious vehicles were reported in the 700 block of E. Royal Oaks, possibly involved in drug activity. Officers arrived and located the two vehicles. One vehicle was found to be a reported stolen vehicle from Upland. The vehicle was recovered and the investigation is continuing.
Stolen Vehicle
February 18 at 5:11 p.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from the 1200 block of Sherman. The victim reported his green, 2000 Honda Civic had been stolen sometime between 12:00 and 5:10 p.m. The investigation is continuing.
Commercial Robbery
February 18 at 6:25 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at a business in the 100 block of W. Huntington. A male suspect entered the location wearing a grey and green hooded sweatshirt and revealed a black handgun in his waistband. He demanded money from the cash register, which the employee gave to him, placing it in a Walmart bag. The suspect then fled the location. The investigation is continuing.
Shoplifting – Suspect Arrested
February 18 at 8:11 p.m., a business in the 500 block of W. Huntington reported a theft that had just occurred. The suspect concealed items on his person and exited the store. An officer responded and detained the suspect nearby. The stolen property was recovered and the suspect was arrested.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered
February 18 at 10:51 p.m., a vehicle that was reported stolen earlier in the day from the 900 block of W. Walnut was recovered in Upland by the Upland Police Department. A
Monrovia officer responded to Upland to process the vehicle for fingerprints. The investigation is continuing.
Domestic Battery
February 19 at 7:46 a.m., a battery incident was reported in the 500 block of Cloverleaf Drive. The investigation revealed that a boyfriend and girlfriend were in a verbal argument that turned physical. The female struck her live-in boyfriend with a broom. The male complained of pain to his hand. The female was arrested for domestic battery.
Felony Hit & Run Traffic Collision
February 19 at 3:51 p.m., the victim driver was traveling west on Huntington and came to a stop at Mayflower. The suspect rear-ended the victim's vehicle and then fled the area. The victim and a passenger complained of neck pain. The investigation is continuing.

Highlighted Activity for February 9-12, 2017


Shooting Incident – Suspects Arrested
February 9 at 6:50 p.m., officers responded to the report of shots fired in the 100 block of Los Angeles. The victim was sitting in his vehicle waiting on a family member who was inside a residence when two suspects approached him and brandished a firearm. When the victim tried to flee in his vehicle, one of the suspects began firing rounds toward him. The victim was not hit. Responding officers searched the area and located both suspects. The victim positively identified the suspects and both were arrested and taken into custody.
Vehicle Burglaries
On February 9 in the evening, multiple vehicle burglaries were reported to police. Four vehicles were burglarized in the 800 to 900 blocks of W. Huntington and two in the 1100 block of E. Huntington. In all but one of the incidents, the windows were smashed and items left in the vehicles were taken. In the one incident, it appears that someone attempted to use a window punch and damaged the window, but it did not shatter. The investigations are continuing.
Theft of Mail
February 10 at 8:58 a.m., a theft of mail from a residence in the 900 block of Norumbega was reported to police. The mail was taken from the mailbox the day prior. The investigation is continuing.
Petty Theft
February 10 at 6:30 p.m., a petty theft was reported in the 1800 block of S. Tenth Avenue. A package was taken from the mailbox on the porch of the residence. The investigation is continuing.
Domestic Battery
February 10 at 9:15 a.m., a female and male subject were involved in an argument in a business parking lot in the 700 block of E. Huntington in a vehicle. The subjects are boyfriend and girlfriend. The male suspect pulled the female out of the vehicle by her arms and pushed her in the chest. The female victim fell to the ground and hit her head. The suspect fled the area in the vehicle. Officers attempted to contact the suspect, but
he was not located. A wanted person’s entry was made into the law enforcement database for the suspect. The investigation is continuing.
Trespassing – Suspect Arrested
February 11 at 10:39 a.m., a resident in the 1400 block of S. Magnolia called to report her daughter had broken into her residence. The resident had previously completed a no trespassing order for her daughter. Officers arrived at the location and contacted the daughter inside the home. She was arrested for trespassing.
Warrant – Suspect Arrested
February 11 at 11:48 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for vehicle code violations on Myrtle at Railroad. The occupants of the vehicle were identified and field interview cards were completed as two of the occupants were documented gang members. One of them was found to have a bench warrant for his arrest. He was arrested for the warrant and taken into custody.
Warrant Arrest / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Suspect Arrested
February 11 at 2:50 p.m., officers on patrol saw a subject they knew had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The subject was detained and the warrant was confirmed. The subject was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Residential Burglary
February 11 at 4:15 p.m., a residential burglary was reported in the 800 block of E. Foothill that had occurred on February 9. The victim reported that the rear door to her home had been pried open. There was no loss. The investigation is continuing.
Hit and Run Traffic Collision / Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested
February 11 at 5:00 p.m., an injury traffic collision occurred at Colorado and Magnolia. Officers responded and conducted an investigation. One party failed to stop for the stop sign at Colorado and Magnolia, causing the collision. The vehicle then fled the scene and was followed by the victim. The suspect eventually stopped several blocks away. The victim suffered minor complaint of pain injuries. Officers determined the suspect was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Medical Assist / Negligent Discharge of a Firearm
February 11 at 8:28 p.m., an officer responded to a medical assist in the 200 block of E. Olive. A male adult was teaching his adult daughter gun safety and discharged the weapon, shooting himself in the hand. A verified complaint will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for negligent discharge of a firearm.
Speeding / Warrant – Suspects Arrested
February 11 at 10:13 p.m., the Foothill Air Support Team helicopter observed two vehicles racing at a high rate of speed and contacted police. Officers responded and were able to locate one of the vehicles involved. The driver was cited for speeding and a passenger was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Assault / Suspicious Circumstances
February 11 at 11:21 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of E. Pomona Avenue regarding subjects causing a disturbance. When officers arrived, they saw several vehicles leaving the area. An ambulance driver pointed out one vehicle and it was stopped for investigation. The driver was found to have a laceration on his head. One of the passengers was passed out and had a head injury and a second passenger possibly had a broken leg. The subjects stated they were assaulted on Pomona Avenue by a group of people, but would not provide any other information and were uncooperative with the officers. The subjects were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Through further investigation, it was learned that the subjects were involved in a fight. They said they were assaulted by multiple subjects outside of a party at a residence on Pomona that they were attending. They said they did not know who the suspects were or why they assaulted them.
An officer made contact with the residents at the location of the party. The residents told the officers the three victims were not invited to the party and were asked to leave. They said the subjects left the location, but were confronted outside on the street by unknown subjects, who were also not invited to the party, and an altercation occurred. The residents did not know who any of the subjects were and were not able to provide any possible suspect information. The investigation is continuing.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
February 11 at 12:40 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Canyon and Palm regarding a female victim who was thrown on the ground by a male suspect. Officers arrived and located a female with visible injuries. The male suspect was arrested and taken into custody for domestic violence.
Warrants – Suspect Arrested
February 12 at 4:05 p.m., two suspicious subjects were reported in a business parking lot in the 1600 block of S. Mountain. An officer arrived and contacted the subjects. One of the subjects was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest. The subject was arrested and taken into custody for the warrants.
Warrant – Suspect Arrested
February 12 at 8:34 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Wildrose regarding a subject walking in and out of traffic and yelling at people. An officer arrived and located the subject in the 200 block of S. Mountain. The subject had a bloody lip and appeared intoxicated. Further investigation revealed he was fighting with family members and a computer check revealed he was wanted by San Dimas Sheriff’s Department for felony battery. The subject was arrested and San Dimas Sheriff’s deputies responded to take custody of the suspect.
Burglary Pursuit – Suspects Arrested
February 13 at 3:55 a.m., an officer responded to an alarm activation at a business in the 600 block of W. Huntington. As he entered the parking lot, he saw a silver Toyota Camry with paper plates attempting to flee the location at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the suspects failed to yield and the officer went in pursuit. The vehicle headed east on Huntington, left onto Mayflower, and turned right onto Chestnut, where the suspects jumped out and ran from the vehicle in the 400 block of W. Chestnut. Neighboring agencies responded to assist in the search for the suspects. Two suspects were located and arrested, the third was not located. Further Investigation revealed that two businesses in the 600 block of W. Huntington were broken into and the vehicle used by the suspects was stolen from the city of Colton.

Highlighted Activity for January 12-15, 2017


Commercial Burglaries
January 13 at 3:21 a.m., an alarm activation was reported at business in the 600 block of W. Huntington Drive. Officers arrived and found the front doors had been pried open. Video surveillance of the business revealed the suspects were two male Blacks, one was dressed in all red and was wearing a mask and black gloves. The second suspect was wearing dark clothing with a dark mask and white gloves. The loss was undetermined. The suspects forced entry with a yellow crowbar.
A second burglary alarm activation was reported a few minutes later at 3:28 a.m. in the 900 block of E. Huntington. Officers arrived and found the front doors to this business had also been pried open. Video surveillance revealed the same two suspects committed both burglaries. The loss appeared to be narcotics from the pharmacy at the second location. A green SUV type vehicle was seen leaving the area. The investigations are continuing.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
January 13 at 8:45 a.m., a female adult phoned from a residence in the 200 block of Terrace View to report she had been beaten up by her boyfriend. Officers responded to the residence and spoke to both parties. The victim reported that her boyfriend strangled and struck her, and she had visible injuries. The male suspect admitted to the allegations and he was arrested. He later bonded out of custody. The victim was notified and provided an Emergency Protective Order.
Injury Traffic Collision
January 13 at 7:56 p.m., a traffic collision was reported at Myrtle and Huntington. A vehicle made a turning movement to maneuver around a bus and lost control. The vehicle jumped the center median and struck a tree. The tree then fell over and struck a passing vehicle. The only injury was to a passenger in the primary vehicle.
Drug Offense – Suspect Arrested
January 14 at 9:10 p.m., a caller reported a possible drunk driver in the 1300 block of S. Fifth Avenue. An officer arrived and located a vehicle that matched the description of
the possible drunk driver. The officer made a traffic stop and the investigation revealed
the driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested and
taken into custody.
Warrant – Suspect Arrested
January 15 at 1:11 a.m., officers were on patrol in the 400 block of S. Myrtle Avenue
and recognized a suspect who had an outstanding arrest warrant. They contacted the
suspect, confirmed the warrant and took him into custody. The suspect is being held
pending his court appearance.

January 15 at 1:23 a.m., officers were on patrol in the 100 block of E. Lemon Avenue
and recognized another subject who they knew had an outstanding arrest warrant. They
contacted the suspect, confirmed the warrant and took him into custody. The suspect is
being held pending a court appearance.

Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested
December 22 at 1:22 p.m., officers responded to the report of a possible drunk driver in the 100 block of El Nido. The caller reported the vehicle also had collision damage. The caller saw the vehicle run a red light and then stop several blocks away near a commercial area. Officers arrived and located the vehicle and driver, who was determined to be intoxicated. An extensive search was done involving several agencies to determine what the driver had struck with the vehicle. He was arrested for driving under the influence.
Warrant – Suspect Arrested
December 22 at 6:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of Royal Oaks regarding a request to keep the peace. During the contact, a subject inside the residence was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The subject was arrested and held pending his court appearance.
Domestic Violence
December 22 at 11:03 p.m., a female resident in the 300 block of W. lemon called police to report she had been battered by her husband. Officers arrived and determined that the husband and wife were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical. The husband pushed the wife into a window, causing minor injuries. The suspect fled prior to police arriving at the location. The investigation is continuing.
Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested
December 23 at 12:18 a.m., an officer on patrol observed a parked vehicle with the engine running and the driver asleep behind the wheel in the 100 block of Cypress. The investigation revealed the driver was intoxicated. He was arrested and held for a sobering period. He was later released with a citation to appear in court.
Driving Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested
December 23 at 2:41 a.m., an officer on patrol observed a vehicle commit a vehicle code violation at Myrtle and the 210 Freeway. The driver was stopped and the investigation revealed he was too impaired to drive a motor vehicle. He was arrested and held for a sobering period. He was later released with a citation to appear in court.
Residential Burglary
December 23 at 4:17 p.m., a burglary was reported at a residence in the 500 block of N. Alta Vista. The front door of the home was kicked in and the residence was ransacked. A wallet was taken. The wallet was located during a search of the area. The investigation is continuing.
Residential Burglary
December 24 at 11:45 a.m., a residential burglary was reported in the 500 block of N. Alta Vista. Officers arrived and discovered the front door had been kicked in and the house appeared to have been ransacked. The investigation is continuing.
Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
December 24 at 11:48 p.m., police dispatch received a call regarding a subject who was causing a disturbance at an apartment complex in the 700 block of W. Foothill. Officers arrived and located the subject in the parking lot of the complex. The subject was extremely intoxicated and could not care for himself or the safety of others. He was arrested for being drunk in public and held for a sobering period.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered
December 25 at 12:47 a.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked at Stedman and Oaks. Officers arrived and discovered the vehicle was reported stolen out of Long Beach. The vehicle was recovered.
Disturbance / Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
December 26 at 10:23 p.m., officers responded to the report of a fight in progress in the 500 block of W. Duarte. When they arrived, they detained two subjects who were intoxicated and had started a fight with some other tenants. One of the disturbing subjects was taken to the hospital for treatment and the other was arrested for being drunk in public.
Commercial Burglary
December 27 at 3:44 a.m., officers were dispatched to an alarm activation at a business in the 900 block of E. Huntington. The alarm company reported that there were suspects inside the store, but they had already exited the front doors. Officers arrived and searched the area, but the suspects were not located. The two suspects forced entry through the front door, went inside and collected large quantities of narcotics from the pharmacy area, and then fled the store. The investigation is ongoing.
Vandalism
December 27 at 1:36 p.m., a vandalism incident was reported in the 400 block of Monrovista. The victim reported that someone possibly shot his upstairs window with a BB gun sometime during the night. The window appeared to have been shot with a BB gun from the area of Duarte Road. The investigation is continuing.
Possession of a Controlled Substance / Suspended License / False Evidence of Registration – Suspect Arrested
December 27 at 8:10 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for having expired registration, but the vehicle showed valid registration tags. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license. A search of the vehicle revealed the driver possessed a large quantity of prescription medication in an unmarked pill bottle. The driver was arrested for prescription pills without a prescription, driving on a suspended license and possessing false tabs on his license plate. The vehicle was stored.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon
December 28 at 1:17 a.m., several callers reported shots heard in the 1300 block of S. Alta Vista. Officers responded and found an adult male with a gunshot wound to his leg. Witnesses reported a light colored vehicle drove by the location, possibly a Toyota Camry, with three subjects inside. A subject in the vehicle shot 4 to 5 times, hitting the victim. The vehicle continued south on Alta Vista and west on Central. Officers conducted an extensive search for the suspects, but they were not located. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. The investigation is continuing.
Petty Theft From a Vehicle
December 28 at 2:17 a.m., a petty theft from a vehicle was reported in the 800 block of W. Walnut. The victim was entering his vehicle when he noticed two male subjects in the backseat area of his vehicle. When the two subjects saw the victim, they fled. A glove and the vehicle registration was missing. The investigation is continuing.
Theft of Gardening Equipment
December 28 at 2:27 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Canyon regarding the report of a theft. The victim locked up his lawn mower in the back of his truck and went into a backyard for approximately thirty minutes. While in the back yard, a suspect cut the lock and stole the lawn mower. The investigation is continuing.
Theft of Mail
December 28 at 3:29 p.m., a theft of mail was reported at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Royal Oaks. Management for the complex reported that two male suspects stole the rental payment drop box at the rental office. The residents use the drop box to deposit their rent checks when the office is closed. The investigation is continuing.
Domestic Violence – Suspect Arrested
December 28 at 9:21 p.m., officers responded to the report of two male subjects arguing and possibly fighting inside an apartment in the 100 block of W. Colorado. Upon arrival, officers heard a physical altercation inside the apartment. They entered the front door and found the two male subjects fighting on the ground, one of the subjects was holding the other one down on the floor. The subjects are married and one of them had minor injuries from the altercation. The primary aggressor was arrested for domestic violence and taken into custody.

Residential Burglary
December 29 at 6:56 p.m., a residential burglary was reported in the 100 block of Sutter Creek Street. When officers arrived they discovered the front door was wide open and the glass door on the back side of the residence was shattered. The officers searched the residence but did not locate any suspects and the residence did not appear to be ransacked. The loss could not be determined until the owners take inventory. The investigation is continuing.
Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Suspect Arrested
December 30 at 12:53 a.m., an officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation at the intersection of Myrtle and Huntington. When contacting the driver, the officer believed the driver might be under the influence of alcohol and after completing her investigation, the driver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and taken to the station for booking.
Felony Warrant – Suspect Arrested
December 30 at 1:49 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the 100 block of East Walnut when he noticed a known subject he thought had a warrant. Further investigation revealed the subject had a felony warrant. The subject was stopped and arrested per the authority of the warrant.
Driving Under the Influence / Unlicensed Driver – Suspect Arrested
December 30 at 1:57 a.m., an officer was in the area of Huntington and Magnolia when he stopped a driver for a vehicle code violation. When the officer contacted the driver, he saw symptoms of intoxication. After conducting an investigation, the driver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and it was discovered he was driving without a license. The driver was arrested and taken to the station for booking.
Warrant – Suspect Arrested
December 30 at 7:12 p.m., an officer on patrol was in the area of Myrtle & Chestnut when he observed a subject he recognized from prior contacts. A warrant check revealed the subject had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The subject was arrested without incident.
Domestic Violence – Suspect arrested
December 30 at 11:09 p.m., an officer responded to a lobby call at the Monrovia Police Department regarding a domestic violence that occurred in the 200 block of East Central. A
husband and wife went out to have dinner with their 15 year old daughter and were arguing on
their way back home. Once the couple got home, they continued arguing and the male half
wrapped his arm around his wife's neck causing her to choke for a moment and leave a red
mark. The daughter witnessed the incident and drove to the station with her mom to report it.
An officer went to the location and arrested the male half for domestic violence.
Grand Theft
December 31 at 9:29 a.m., an officer responded to the report of a theft in the 800 block of East
Huntington Dr. Surveillance footage shows a male white suspect using bolt cutters to break the
coin dispenser at the drive-thru carwash. The suspect reached up into the machine and took
over $1,000 worth of bills from the machine. The suspect was in a silver 2-door Chevrolet
sedan with damage to the front. The investigation is continuing.
Tree Emergency
December 31 at 10:45 p.m., a caller reported a large tree on private property fell over and struck
three parked vehicles and blocked the entire street in the 300 block of W. Lime. Officers arrived
and made contact with the owners of the tree and parked vehicles. Public works responded and
began cutting the tree limbs to open the lanes of travel for Lime Ave. In addition to the major
damage to the vehicles, the sidewalk was also uprooted in front of the residence.
Warrant – Suspect Arrested
December 31 at 10:45 p.m., a resident in the 600 block of W. Colorado called police to report a
subject banging on her window. Officers arrived and made contact with a male subject and a
computer check revealed the subject had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.
Public Intoxication – Suspect Arrested
December 31 at 11:17 p.m., an officer responded to a call in the 300 block of S. Myrtle
regarding an intoxicated subject who was attending the New Year’s Eve event in Old Town
Monrovia. The officer determined the subject was very intoxicated and unable to care for
himself. The subject was taken into custody, booked and held for a sobering period.
Battery Report
January 1 at 1:53 a.m., officers were dispatched to a business in the 100 block of W. Olive to a
report of a fight in progress. Officers arrived and investigation revealed some type of altercation
between an employee and a patron took place and it is alleged the patron was battered. The
investigation is continuing.
Driving Under the Influence – Suspects Arrested
January 1 at 3:36 a.m., an officer on patrol observed a vehicle in the 900 block of S. Myrtle
commit a vehicle code violation. The officer stopped the driver of the vehicle and upon contact
noticed obvious signs of alcohol intoxication. Further investigation revealed the suspect was
driving while intoxicated and he was arrested. The passenger in the vehicle was also arrested
for being drunk in public.
Suspicious Circumstances
January 1 at 3:51 a.m., a resident in the 300 block of Heather Heights Ct. called to report a male
subject was attempting to gain access into her back yard. The subject was described as
wearing all black with a large dark jacket. The resident turned on her yard lights and it scared
the subject away. Officers searched the area but did not locate anyone. Officers located a bag
on the resident’s property that contained burglary tools.
On January 1 at 11:32 a.m., officers responded back to a call from the same resident in the 300
block of Heather Heights regarding a suspicious subject. The subject knocked on the resident’s
front door and asked for his tools back, he told the resident he was their neighbor from a nearby
street. The subject became upset when the resident told the subject that the police had his
tools.
The subject quickly left and got into a white Toyota Yaris driven by a female and headed
toward Scenic. Officers located the female driver in the 500 block of W. Lime and investigation
revealed she had warrants. The female suspect was arrested. While fleeing the area the male
subject dropped a backpack he was carrying. There appeared to be stolen property inside the
backpack. The investigation is continuing.
