Happy Birthday Monrovia

128 years and counting.  Does that make us one of the original "40 suburubs in search of a city"?

Kidding aside, a little Poinsettia Avenue Trivia.  The majority of our tract  was once an orange grove that was owned by the big blue Victorian on Canyon.  The original carriage house is here and been added onto over the years and is the one, one off on the street that doesn't follow the 3 basic floor plans we have.

Where the street widens on the way up the hill is where our tract was started in 1951.  Below that some of the homes go back to the 1920s.

There are only a couple of the original owners, or owners from the 50s left on the street at this point.
