Avoid the S. California shortcut...police activity 10/7/2014

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) Special Weapons Team have responded to the 2300 block of California Avenue, Monrovia, to assist Temple Sheriff’s Station deputies regarding an Assault with a Deadly Weapon suspect, who is barricaded inside a residence. 
 
SEB deputies have assumed command of the tactical response and Crisis Negotiation Team personnel are working to bring the situation to a peaceful resolution.
 
Surrounding homes have been evacuated for the safety of the residents.
