Be vigilant - theft from an unlocked auto in the neighborhood

One of your new neighbors had is unlocked car rifled through and stuff taken in the wee hours of the morning in the last week.  Don't let this happen to you.  If you see something odd, say something.

To prevent theft from your auto please do the following:

• LOCK your car when parking
• remove any valuables you want to keep
• Park in a secure area like behind a gate or in a garage where possible
• Park your car in an  well lit area or one with motion detector lights when possible

Fortunately this incident the perp was caught on Gary's motion sensitive security camera and the footage is in MPD possession.
